Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Afternoon MMC!
A lovely sunny day here with an actual touch of warmth.
Went to costco and some thrift stores with mom this morning, spent to much, but found some good books.

Now I am getting some laundry done as well as giving the sourdough bread thing another try. Tonight I am going to a fund raiser dinner for Youth for Christ.

The weather seems to be a little better today in Canada's Capital. Temperatures are to reach the lower double digits/50s, with some sun. It's still not quite Spring, but we will take it.

We have a few things to do today. Kim and I will be heading out shortly to do our grocery shopping for ourselves and Simon. Tonight, we will be reaping the benefits of "Poutinefest," which is taking place about a 10 minute walk from our house. There will be about 25 different poutine vendors with probably 300 different types of poutine. Delicious. Of course, we'll only try one each, but the choice will more than likely be quite difficult!

Well, we've finally made it to Saturday. Crown will be returning tonight to lead us into tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who has followed along for the week while I "took over." I had a fantastic time. It is always a real pleasure.

My friend (lives down the street, but closer to farmland & woods) just texted me, and she and her husband had bears come to visit them last night..yikes! I always worry about that when I walk Harlowe, or take her outside. Hope they stay in the woods and forage there!! They would be neat to see, but from a distance!

Just remember that they are usually more afraid of you and will run if they see you. Plus, Harlowe is pretty feisty. I wouldn't put it past her to take one of them down!!!! LOL!!!!

Good morning, friends! How are you all doing today? I'm well! I've been up since 3:45, but I'm actually feeling well! I've already got a run and a workout in. EA couldn't sleep and had me up, then I just couldn't fall back to sleep myself. Oh well. At least it's the weekend! [emoji6]

What are your plans for today? DH is getting to plant our landscaping here in the next month or so, so we're going to head out and look at plants, stone, and such. Later on today, we have our niece's 6th birthday party, and then we're hoping to make it to church.

I made sure of it! I had a 3 Meat Poutine (beef, sausage, and bacon). It was pretty delicious. Kim had a Pulled Pork Poutine. Very good as well. Glad we had an opportunity to take advantage of the festivities at least once!

I got up early and cut the grass before the storm descended upon us. It rained almost 5"! Then we took Elizabeth to dance. Went to Moe's for lunch (love that place!), and then to a movie. Nancy & Elizabeth saw Cinderella, and I saw Ex Machina. They loved theirs, me not so much.

When we got home, I went to Jim's shop to plan our next step on the Camaro. Another body shop friend of ours offered to help us, too, so I'm feeling less apprehensive about the paint job. We cranked it again, too. That never gets old!

We have a family reunion on Nancy's dad's side of the family tomorrow.
