I miss her a lot, I have a lot to thank her for my love of Christmas. I think about her all the time because of her Santa Claus collection I have displayed around the house.

My grandfather is doing as well as he can, the holidays were a bit tough for him.

If you think that is stupid then I must be a big dummy! I don't even know what Tapatalk is. Ha ha! (I have a general idea since I see it on here all the time but I have never used it).

It's an app that you can get, on your phone, tablet, etc., to follow the forums. It's really nice!

home again, relaxing watching "Call the Midwife" on netflix.

we have a big storm headed our way, due to arrive some time tomorrow. Ice rain and snow, going to be fun! Good thing I have no where to go.

Good evening,

Just a nice easy day, brought the boys for their haircuts. Checked out a few stores for the shelving I need for my Santa Claus collection, Lowe's had something that would've worked but were sold out. Goodwill had squat. Lowe's still had a bunch of Christmas at 75% off but nothing that I had to have. I am keeping an eye on Rite Aid for their 75% off, some LED icicle lights have caught my eye for next years roof line.

We actually were planning to head to the staff "Holiday" party for my wife's school tomorrow, but the snowstorm that is coming in tomorrow postponed it until next weekend.

I will be around for a little bit longer tonight.

I like to ease the post-Christmas blues by looking for houses still decorated.

My grandparents met on a blind date in May 1946, and were married in September 1946. They were together for nearly 68 years when she passed last summer.

A 1949 kinescope of a 15-minute Christmas show featuring Earl Wrightson and other singers; kinescopes of Lawrence Welk holiday-themed shows from 1955 and 1956; Castle Films reels of carols; "Winter Serenade," a musical short from 1941. We also have prints of a couple films that are in better shape than the video versions. Plus plenty of non-Christmas movies that have never been on video.

I know I'm not supposed to covet...but.....!!!

Those are all on 16mm, and we have no way to transfer them. But holler if you're in our neck of the woods, and maybe we could screen something!

We have a print of the 1935 "Scrooge" that beats any video version, because it was struck in 1936. If MMC ever holds a convention, we'd love to screen some of our rarities--- if the hotel A/V system can still support a film projector.
