Yesterday was a great day. Doc was released to go back to work after the scare and is off bedrest. Also, they checked the gender on this ultrasound.



It is a girl....



Our doctor could see the emotion and the happiness in my face...I was so caught up in the moment. I have turned into a big softie since Bambina was born. S



She gave me a poem....I will keep it with me forever....

the love that a father has for Daddy’s little girls."



My heart is full. Words can't begin to describe how happy I am.

It's a cold 19 degrees this morning and we are supposed to get about 3 inches of the powdery stuff this morning. So, I was out the door and off to an earlier than usual start this morning. I wanted to get on the road and get into the office before the snow started falling here this morning, I planned it just right. Just as I walked out of the house at 4:20, the first flakes started coming down. 35 miles later, the roads were just starting to turn white and I was here at the office; mission accomplished, safe and sound....:snowball:

Trying to start the new year drinking more water, keeping the house straightened better, reading my Bible & praying more, exercising more. You know, the usual! I don't put pressure on myself, just do what I can. I'm also going to try not to stress so much about DD's school things. She so scattered & I'm a list-maker. It makes things "interesting" for us!

Here's the recipe - I actually like it better than chili - but it's similar.

Taco Soup

2 lbs. Hamburger (I used 1 to 1 1/2 lb)

1 onion, chopped

1 can pinto beans, 16 oz, drained

1 can red kidney beans, 16 oz, drained

1 can whole kernel corn, 16 oz, drained

2 cans stewed tomatoes

1 can Rotel tomatoes

3 cup water

1 pkg. taco seasoning mix

1 pkg. dry Ranch dressing mix



Brown Hamburger, add onion together & drain. Mix all ingredients & heat. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, Frito's &/or lettuce.

This soup freezes well.

Can be made in crock pot. Brown hamburger, then mix everything together in crock pot. Cook all day on low, or as needed.

Holy yum!!! We will have to give it a whirl, we will substitute ground turkey for ground beef. You should post it in the recipe section too, so it will be easier to find.

I have loved Music Choice's Sounds of the Season, but tonight is the last night of it. :? I really wish it could be year round. Every year I record 4-5 hours of it on DVR so I can listen to it whenever I like.

Goodwill had squat, another week or 2 they will be loaded with Christmas again. I bought my lights at Rite Aid at 75% off today, originally $24.99 a spool, got them at $6.24 a spool. i got 5 spools for the price of 1. I also bought LC a nutcracker for is birthday, we now have 2 put away until his b-day.
