Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good afternoon friends! I am about to start the daily process of getting ready for work. I hope everyone is staying warm out there on this party cloudy/sunny winter day. It's 35F right now. I am sure it's colder on the east coast...be careful mid atlantic folks I hear there is an ice storm as far south as western north Carolina! I will talk to yall later on today from work!

Good afternoon,

I have finally caught up after being behind for days. I have been so sick the last few days, after I went to bed on Monday night by 9:30 I didn't get out of bed until 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. I went to bed before 10 o'clock last night again. I am pretty sure I have the flu, I looked up the symptoms and I have each and every symptom listed. I haven't felt this bad in a long time, I have only eaten soup the last few days.
I haven't had the energy to take down the trees and other decorations so they will be up a little longer until I feel better. I called out of work today, and JP is home sick from school today.

I hope you all are having a good day today.

I hope you feel better soon, Xmas!!!! You might call your doctor and see if they will call you in Tamiflu without making you come in. CAH said it was a miracle worker for her and her dad when they caught it.

That's the look she gives us every morning that we have to go to work!! She knows when Jim comes down in that brown uniform, we are leaving her again. Poor Gracie! ;-)







It did sound heavenly, but it didn't happen! I stopped at Mom/Dads to bring their mail in, then went home & did laundry & unloaded/re-loaded the dishwasher. Ah well...a few less things I have to do tonight now!

Kimmie is five.

The vet told us last night that Happy was probably about 11 and that in our terms he was about 75 years old. He sure didn't seem that old.

Our little "princess" cat Ophelia has a thing for toilet paper, she unwinds the whole roll if we don't catch her, or she will knock the roll off the holder and move it throughout the house. We love her dearly but her TP fetish is getting old. cheesy

LOL, makes sense, but why do we have so much trouble listening to the advice then.
I am sitting most of the time only get up to visit the ladies room which unfortunately is upstairs. Still pretty sore. Tlaked to the boss this morning and she had booked me off for 7 days. Not sure what hurts more, the ankle or 7 days of no work!
But it will all work out, it always does

Nothing to well known this year. The highlights are going to be the higher end cars from the Ron Pratte collection. He has some really nice one off piece's that will be going across the block Saturday night. Including a 1950 GM futerliner bus that he bought for $4 million 8 years ago. They sold the first 110 cars out of his collection last night and they brought in almost $14 million. It's expected that by the time it's all said and done, his collection will go for almost $50 million.

Oh no! I hope you feel better quick as well as JP! That's the pitts. It's definitely going around! You boys take care!

Hope you feel better soon man. I looked on the CDC website and every state except California and Nevada are having widespread outbreaks of the flu. Brandi says half her class has been out this week sick. I always use to take Theraflu if I did not have to work because it knocked the symptoms away and took the fever down but it also knocked me out..at any rate rest up and feel better soon!

well I am about to walk out the door to go to work in a few minutes. I hope everyone has a safe commute on this icy drive home. Around here what little snow we had is melting...but winter is not over yet, at least I hope not. I was watching the news on the local weather reporter reminded us that ski boarding season is at the halfway mark..I have only been 2 times this year, and there are 4 ski resorts minutes from my house! a lot of slopes are closed because of the slow start to the snowfall,anyways I have to go! ttyl!

Hello Christmas friends.

We lost Happy tonight. He took a turn for the worse, and yesterday the vet stated she believed he had a brain tumor. He was suffering more and more and went down hill quickly. The vet recommended we send him on as his quality of life was getting bad. We already miss him!

Good early morning folks! I can't sleep so what better to do than hang out here before I fix breakfast for the family? Right now it's a chilly but seasonal 25F clear skies and it's going to be a sunny winter day with highs reaching 38 to 40F I think that will wipe out our dusting of snow we got over the weekend, but you can't have it all I guess. Merry Wednesday all, Happy Pines Day!

We had a sprinkling of snow, no accumulations. Everything is iced over though. Although very cold at -1C, it's not as intolerable as some of you. Storm Rachel is heading our way from the US and is meant to cause havoc is some parts.
