Good morning, It's a chilly 19 degrees here at the moment with a few snow flurries coming down, blowing across the road. I'm just getting here in the office, haven't even fired up the coffee pot yet; I just wanted to log-in and wish everyone a good morning, before I did anything else. Not a soul is here yet besides me, so I'm going to make the coffee and have my oatmeal breakfast.....

I know this is fast...we just lost Happy. But my uncle has a dog he adored but his daughter is highly allergic to her. So he had to find her a good home, and wanted her to stay in the family. So, meet Kimmie...


She's an Australian Shepherd and is a sweetheart! She's ready to claim her spot in the MMC Pantheon of Pets.

This is not Gracie, but this is what I came home to at lunch on Monday: Hmmmm...



And here is Gracie yesterday morning saying it was so very cold outside!!! (you can still see the snow around her face where she was digging in the snow)



Hope she made you smile a little!

Still colder and more rainy, with a winter weather advisory in effect for our area for possible slick roads this morning.
The weekend is promised to be much nicer, however, and I for one cannot wait.
(Enough of this miserably damp cold!)
Right now, we stand at 29 wet, icy degrees here in the central piedmont of North Carolina.


Well, whatever your weather, weather it better with a happy visit to the Shispering Pines this evening for more entertainment, Carl style.

It's SO gray and cold today. I'm at my workplace like a good girl, but where I really want to be is in some fuzzy sweats under a cozy afghan on the sofa with some good video and some hot tea! I must get rid of that daydream before the jobs start hitting my desk!

Happy Pines Day, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cold one here with a high near 19 today. A warm up is on the way though. High's in the 40's will be here starting Friday!!!!! WooHoo!!! Not a whole lot going on here today. Just need to do some research for mom and then I might do some baking. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Good afternoon,

I have finally caught up after being behind for days. I have been so sick the last few days, after I went to bed on Monday night by 9:30 I didn't get out of bed until 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. I went to bed before 10 o'clock last night again. I am pretty sure I have the flu, I looked up the symptoms and I have each and every symptom listed. I haven't felt this bad in a long time, I have only eaten soup the last few days.
I haven't had the energy to take down the trees and other decorations so they will be up a little longer until I feel better. I called out of work today, and JP is home sick from school today.


I hope you all are having a good day today.

Good Morning and Happy Pines Day!

I'm heading out soon, I have lots to do. First stop will be the supermarket. I also need to pick up a prescription at the vet for Maggie's cough suppressant and have it filled at Rite Aid. Then I'll be heading to the mall for a couple of things. I'm going to pop in to the Hallmark store at the mall while I'm there and see what they have left. :-D

well I am about to walk out the door to go to work in a few minutes. I hope everyone has a safe commute on this icy drive home. Around here what little snow we had is melting...but winter is not over yet, at least I hope not. I was watching the news on the local weather reporter reminded us that ski boarding season is at the halfway mark..I have only been 2 times this year, and there are 4 ski resorts minutes from my house! a lot of slopes are closed because of the slow start to the snowfall,anyways I have to go! ttyl!

Hope you got out to the slopes a few more times this season, Dawg!!!!!
