Good Saturday morning everyone! Iti's a seasonal 24F outside, it's going to hit 40 today, that will feel like early spring, I think we are going to attempt to hit the mall with the boys today, I say attempt because the boys are 3 and 2 now and it just hard to really plan trips like this out, but we have a lot of errands to run, I hope everyone has a great morning! I just cooked hot sausage and biscuits, so come on over if you'd like!

Hey it's pretty slow here today. I am feeling a lot better, thanks for the well wishes. I am hoping my body is fighting it off.

Not much happening here this evening. I am making chicken chasseur for dinner. A friend of ours from out of town is supposed to pop by tonight for a couple of hours. Other than that I look forward to some watching Netflix after he leaves and maybe some reading. We are expecting snow over night. We'll see.

Happy Friday everyone!
Busy day so far, I had an appointment & errands to run this morning.
Just wanted to share the news, we are keeping the kitty cat that my hubby found. I kind of fell in love with her. I'm bringing her to the vet in a little while. I need to come up with a name by the time I get to there. I'm praying she is healthy, fingers crossed. I'll keep you posted.
Oh and my husband is bringing me to the Islander game this evening, they're playing Pittsburgh. I'm so excited!
I'll be back later.

Don't get me wrong ... I'm grateful to have a good job, but it's serving up some disappointments today. The office closed early at 1 p.m., but I and several others have to stay here for a few hours yet. And Monday the office is closed, but I have to be on call at home all day for a job that may be coming through. I was in the same situation on Jan. 2 when the office was closed ... and I don't get overtime/holiday pay, just my normal salary. I was really looking forward to having Monday off, too, since Jan. 2 was spoiled for me. :sad:



I don't mean to be a whiner. I just had to blow off steam.

I totally get where you're coming from. That's a real bummer. I would be blowing off steam too. [emoji17]

Hagerstown is only about 100 miles away for me, so a little less than 2 hours. It's not a bad drive at all. We like to go down to the outlets there! [emoji4]

Good afternoon,



I had my Dr appt this morning, and like I thought I am dealing with a bad case of the flu. My doctor doesn't even want me to head back to work until next week since he says I am still contagious.

I called work to keep them in the loop and I hear one of my bosses carrying on the background fake coughing and laughing while another one is telling him a lot of people have been out for the same reason. They are so professional there, this guy in particular is the biggest #&**@++. I have reported him for his lack of professionalism multiple occasions. I really need to get out of there, even while I am out sick they tick me off big time.



I finally tried TheraFlu, and yuck!!! I feel better after taking but I really didn't like the flavor.



I have 4 more days off before I can head back to work, so maybe I can apply at a lot of new places.





I will be around, resting.

That is so unprofessional. I'm so sorry you have to put up with all that, friend.

Hope you can rest up and start feeling better.

Good Evening Christmas Friends!

TGIF! And a 3 day weekend. Work was crazy this week so I am looking forward to some down time. My 12 y/o daughter has been out of school since Tues and we went to the Dr yesterday. She has an ear infection and bronchitis so she is on antibiotics for 10 days. We picked up her homework today and you would not believe the stack of papers so I know what we will be working on this weekend!
Hope everyone that is sick is feeling better soon!

Sorry to hear your daughter isn't feeling well. Hope the antibiotics help and she gets to feeling better soon!

Good evening MMC !!

A beautiful sunny day here today, aired out the house and just relaxed with my foot up.

Got a call from workman comp and I was approved for payment of lost wages and all medical expenses. So happy for that.
It is going to be awhile to get this healed up and I will be having physio as well when air cast comes off. Got another dr appointment for the 27th

Hope you are all doing well, so many posts finding it impossible to catch up. Seems even with time off I cannot hang out here half as much as you all, but sure would love to !!

Hello folks, I'm not doing too much, just testing the lazyboy out for the rest of the evening....We are having our Ice Cream and sitting in front of the fire place watching Love it or List it too.

Vicki went to the ENT today and yup, she does have strep and the doctor recommends that she will have to get her tonsils taken out. But, she did say that it does not have to be right away because it takes about three weeks to heal at her age and with Vicki getting ready to go back to school for the spring semester, we will wait until she is out of school before getting something like that done.

Hope everyone is having a pleasant evening.

Glad to hear that Vicki saw the doctor and they decided her tonsils need to come out. That sounds like a good decision! Hope she doesn't have too many problems until her surgery.

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!
Feeling kind of sleepy today but I have to get moving soon, I have a lot to do. My husband and I had a great time at the hockey game last night. It was an exciting game, we had a lot of fun.
Typical day of chores and errands. I have to do a big food shopping trip. I also need to run to Rite Aid & Target. And we have a memorial service to go to this afternoon. One of our neighbors passed away, she was a lovely lady and lived to 92 years old, God bless her.
I'm also waiting for our veterinarian to call with the new kitty's blood work results. We still didn't pick a name for her. We have Molly & Maggie, Bella & Bentley and Sophia & ??? I was thinking of picking another S name but I can't think of one that suits her. I had a pattern going there but I might have to break it, lol.
I hope everyone is well, continued prayers for all who are ill ~

Happy Saturday everyone,

We had a light dusting of snow last night which was almost gone this morning. It has started falling again very lightly but with rain on and off so we will see what the day holds. The kids really want to go sledging.

I am listening to some jazz (Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong) and enjoying a cup of chai tea. I am going to start breakfast soon. Bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns, grilled tomatoes and mushroom ....pop on over...

My kids really want to go sled riding too! They've only been able to go once - it's been to cold or there hasn't been enough show. Hope you're kids able to go soon!
