Yesterday Was in Dillards- final Christmas clearance- 75% off plus an additonal 40%.. if you saw the stuff- you'd know why.. ornaments looked like lungs.... who creates this stuff?

Just took the lights off the cedar tree outside this morning. I'm going to miss seeing those lights when I get home from work evenings! I used only three strings of C7 incandescent bulbs (75 bulbs) and ran them six hours each night, plus dusk to dawn Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve---and that nearly doubled our electric bill for December. If we can manage it next year, I'll do it again, though!

Having done that, all our Christmas decorations are packed up and put away until the season comes 'round again. (Except for a few Christmas mugs that I keep on the shelf outside the kitchen year-round.) But the magic gathers while they're in hibernation!

Still waiting to find out if/when I have to work tomorrow. It was supposed to be a holiday, until an ultra-important presentation reared its ugly head. I'll try to relax and enjoy today as much as possible. A local restaurant is having a 15% off deal today, plus double points for loyalty card members, so I think we'll go there and put on the feed bag later.

C7 lights are so magical to me, it stinks when the lights disappear. Their magic must reload for next year. My stuff needs to start coming down. I was hoping to start today, but my wife was right I still need to rest. The trees are still up and lit. cheesy

My wife is making some chicken breast with baked potatoes. I am looking forward to dinner.
I have stayed relatively football free today, watching movies instead, just checked for scores online. Looks like the Packers are almost heading to the Super Bowl at this point. I will not watch the Patriots game, especially since the announcers always seem to worship Bill Belichick.

Good evening mmc! I wish I could stay online here 24/7 with you good people, then I could escape into virtual Christmas time 24/7 were everything is nice and cheerful. I know that sounds weird just reading that first sentence but I have had a rough day out in the real world today and just wish I could stay here all the time is all.... I hope everyone is hanging in there this long weekend. We still have sooo long to go until next year, I have really had the PCB's bad today!! I will try to get online tomorrow at before work.(it's no holiday for me!) so goodnight everyone!! stay safe!
