I never heard from the doctor on Saturday. I just hung up with the vet, they said they have the results and the doctor will definitely call me today. Fingers crossed that all is well.

Happy Friday!!!! I know Christmas was only 3 weeks ago but man it sure does "feel" a lot longer then that!!! DH and I talked about it just didnt feel like Christmas back in Dec, it could be from that fact we were not as organized or prepared for Christmas and we missed out on some events/outings that had become tradition. The past few days I have been nothing but Christmas ... we have already started working on gift ideas for the kids and some extended family members. The kids and I are even going to bake cookies this weekend. Maybe I will sneak in a Christmas movie that I didn't get the chance to watch last month

Don't get me wrong ... I'm grateful to have a good job, but it's serving up some disappointments today. The office closed early at 1 p.m., but I and several others have to stay here for a few hours yet. And Monday the office is closed, but I have to be on call at home all day for a job that may be coming through. I was in the same situation on Jan. 2 when the office was closed ... and I don't get overtime/holiday pay, just my normal salary. I was really looking forward to having Monday off, too, since Jan. 2 was spoiled for me.

I don't mean to be a whiner. I just had to blow off steam.

Sounds frustrating! I hope you get the whole day off & enjoy it!

I feel a little like Rudolph the Scab Nosed Reindeer, of course it has to be a nice big scratch. cheesy

Good afternoon,

I had my Dr appt this morning, and like I thought I am dealing with a bad case of the flu. My doctor doesn't even want me to head back to work until next week since he says I am still contagious.
I called work to keep them in the loop and I hear one of my bosses carrying on the background fake coughing and laughing while another one is telling him a lot of people have been out for the same reason. They are so professional there, this guy in particular is the biggest #&**@++. I have reported him for his lack of professionalism multiple occasions. I really need to get out of there, even while I am out sick they tick me off big time.

I finally tried TheraFlu, and yuck!!! I feel better after taking but I really didn't like the flavor.

I have 4 more days off before I can head back to work, so maybe I can apply at a lot of new places.


I will be around, resting.

Hope you are feeling better. Ya - the taste of Theraflu has a little to be desired, but it does help ~ I think! Hope you are feeling better. Good luck in the job hunt!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Mrs. Hilda was finally moved to a closer facility for rehab, so we're all happier. She knows some of her fellow patients, and some of the staff, so she doesn't feel quite so separated from home. Her new room doesn't include a TV, but it did have cable hookup, so I brought her one from our house. Now she can watch local channels, and she has a better view outside her window. And she can finally go outside for some fresh air! It's supposed to be in the upper 60's most of this week, so it'll be nice for that.

Jacob & Elizabeth played and sang at our church yesterday morning, and did a wonderful job! They performed at 1st Baptist last week, and now they're being asked to perform at two more local churches. I'm very proud of them!

My brother and I spent yesterday afternoon plumbing. My mom needed a wax ring replaced under one of the toilets in her house, then she had a leaking drain pipe under a sink that had to be fixed. Then Jim wanted to hook up a new shower in his house. I don't ever want to be a plumber.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high around 45 degree's and mostly sunny. Not to shabby for January. Well for the 3rd time, I'm supposed to go babysit my niece's this afternoon while my sister meets with the counselor from the court. No one is sick and there is no ice out there today, so hopefully it doesn't get canceled this time!!! I also have to take mom to get her blood tested today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!
Feeling kind of sleepy today but I have to get moving soon, I have a lot to do. My husband and I had a great time at the hockey game last night. It was an exciting game, we had a lot of fun.
Typical day of chores and errands. I have to do a big food shopping trip. I also need to run to Rite Aid & Target. And we have a memorial service to go to this afternoon. One of our neighbors passed away, she was a lovely lady and lived to 92 years old, God bless her.
I'm also waiting for our veterinarian to call with the new kitty's blood work results. We still didn't pick a name for her. We have Molly & Maggie, Bella & Bentley and Sophia & ??? I was thinking of picking another S name but I can't think of one that suits her. I had a pattern going there but I might have to break it, lol.
I hope everyone is well, continued prayers for all who are ill ~

Merry Monday everyone,

Hope you all had a nice weekend. It snowed a little but rained more so no accumulation and a lot of ice.

Mr Festive and my eldest are home today sick. My eldest has not been off school sick for a year so I feel a little guilty about it but at the same time if he is not well , I want him home. It seems only slight at the moment but hoping he doesn't get worse.

My throat is a little sore but I don't feel sick thankfully. I have been keeping active and eating immune boosting foods since I felt it coming on Friday. Fingers crossed I can continue to move past it.

Well I hope you have a great start to the week !!

Schools were supposed to be closed here today but most districts are using it as a make up day for when they had to cancel the other week when it was so cold.

Everyone is off for MLK day today, I guess I picked a pretty good week to be sick, got to spend a nice 3 day weekend with my family.
I am exhausted still after well over 8 hours of sleep last night, the fatigue that this flu has given me has been incredible. I told my wife I was going to take down the first tree today, and she told me no once again. She doesn't want me touching them until next week now so I can get my rest. She also said to me that she knows I really don't mind having the trees up longer and it is fine. This is the longest into January all my decorations have been up. I love it, but it is time to come down.

Glad to hear about the continued progress of Mrs. Hilda and all of your families support of her, I'm sure that makes her feel very loved.

That's great about Jacob and Elizabeth, with that much talent, and being sought after, maybe in the future, mom and dad won't actually have to wait another 20 years to retire.....

I'm not an expert at installing it either, it like wrestling a greased pig, once you think you got a handle on it, whoosh or whammo, there it goes....
