Oh how that brings back memories! My grandmother god rest her soul use to make me and my brothers and sisters that when it would snow as achild..Remember I grew up in Metro Atlanta but we did get at least 2 good snows a year back in the 80's!

Well so much for a slow day at the office...just got slammed with some paperwork. I will try to get back online tonight before I leave the office at 11...hope everyone has a nice early evening!

Watching CNN and news about this storm, be careful all you in the path of this. I read through the posts and see you are all well prepared. Praying your power stays on and you keep warm.

Today here was bright and sunny and really cold. Work went well, it was busy for a Monday. Go see dr about my ankle tomorrow, I think it is feeling much better, would love to be out of this air cast but do not want to re-injure it by getting out of it to soon.

Dinner is done and now can just relax for the evening. Hope you all have a great one.

Just found out EA is on a 2 hour-delay for tomorrow. That is probably smart - the roads are still snow covered and it is supposed to snow at times up until 8 am.

Glad you can hunker down and be safe! Similar measures here: state of emergency, travel ban after midnight for all but essential vehicles, no flights in or out of Logan, and the MBTA stops running around midnight until sometime Wednesday. I have the news on now, but we'll turn it off this evening and watch some fun stuff.

Yes, same here. Flights are canceled, subways, buses, Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road will shut down at 11:00pm. I'm going to turn the news off at some point as well. Glad you plan on watching something fun! Be safe and keep warm MerryCarey. Have a nice night.

Merry Monday!

Before I say anything, I want to wish everyone safety through these extreme weather conditions in the US at the moment. I hope you are well prepared and the consequences are not damaging.

Apparently the blizzards/storms over there will influence our weather toward the end of the week.

My eldest of home today again, he a lot better but is not 100%. With the weather being nasty , I didn't want to risk him getting worse. Mr festive also home, the doctor has signed him off with a sick note for the week. My youngest is still ill so I am just keeping up with his meds and making him as comfortable as I can.

Thanks for all the well wishes , we are doing ok.

The forecast is pretty much the same this morning. The snow will begin today after noon, the heaviest will be overnight and will continue through tomorrow afternoon.

Good morning!
I guess we're as prepared as we can be for this storm. I'm going to take a ride to Target early this morning to pick up a few more things for the girls. I like to have lots of snacks on hand when we're snowed in. Keeps them quiet! My daughter thinks she's going to work tonight. She works in a gym and she said they only close if the power goes out. I told her she better plan on sleeping there tonight because there is no way she's going to get home during this storm. They're already warning people that the Long Island Expressway will be closed so people aren't stranded. Hopefully the area manager does the right thing and closes that gym.
