Accumulations...a couple hundredths of an inch...with isolated areas up to a tenth of an inch.

Timing...through early Tuesday morning.

Temperatures...upper 20s to lower 30s.

Winds...north around 10 mph.

Impacts...untreated surfaces may become slippery and hazardous. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.

Authorities in central Maryland are reporting that roads are becoming icy...especially close to the Mason Dixon line. A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect for this area through 5 am Tuesday. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution tonight. If driving is essential - reduce speed and allow extra distance between cars.

Zach made it home! He said the roads are terrible and that his car started sliding off the road about a mile from home. He said all that salt I put down on the driveway, well, the ice is starting to cover it up as well....

Well I had time to pop in one last time before I leave work. I wanted to tell everyone good night(again)lol and tomorrow is kind of a big day so I plan on curling up in bed with a good movie on and hopefully drifting off to lala land. I am going to be on conference call with the Dr, and my bro tomorrow morning at 10am CDT or 9 am my time. (or 11am est) just nervous thinking about it, but I have had this rock in my stomach more or less for 2 years now so I kind of feel like one way or another at least I can deal with things once I find out, and the suspense will be over...this is awful feeling, but I am glad I have great friends in every day life and here at MMC it makes things much much better! so good night friends...I will talk to yall tomorrow!!!

Wow, do I ever miss coming here! Hope all is well with everyone. No time to catch up, but all of you are in my prayers and frequently in my thoughts!

Busy, busy time right now what with work, the snow, Palmer wanting to play jingle balls in the wee hours of the morning, torn back muscles and every day chores. All is good or will be again, though!!

And great news, Lucy Fur is home!! She had been gone over three weeks and I was a bit worried because there are coyotes in the area. What a hug she gave me ~ made my evening!

Man, I bet we have watched from over 50 times since Christmas. This time last year it was Polar Express....what I wouldn't give for her to want to watch that for a couple of days...

Weatherman said today that we would start hitting 70 by the end o the month. Has anyone seen our snow? I just want a day or two of snow...

LOL!! I hope she wants to watch something else soon!!

Your snow must be the same place ours is!! We've had less than 6 inches so far this year!!

All man....I went outside to go get the mail down at the bottom of the drive, and I busted my butt halfway down the hill. I got to the mailbox, started back up the hill and fell again... I made it up to the driveway pad, opened up the garage and started salting. I got one 40lb bag on the driveway and was about halfway thru the second when I slipped and landed on my right knee, cutting it... Darn BLACK ICE!!!!!

My back hurts, my wrist hurts and my knee hurts! I'm going to go soak in a hot tub for a bit!!!!

Hope you feel better soon and hope he hot tub helped!

Good evening, friends~

What a day! Did something I've wanted to do for a few months, now.
I gave notice at work. Long story short, my boss has been closing his business, with my assistance, and he joined another firm.

I've been interviewing & found two great companies. Both offered me positions within 24 hours. So, I spent last weekend trying to make that difficult decision. And I start my new career in 2 weeks. I can finally apply my real estate education/license and make a salary, have full benefits, including a generous retirement plan, which is very important to Adi and I. Excited for a new venture!

Just winding down and hanging out with Harlowe in front of the fireplace <3

We are watching one of my favorite movies, The Holiday.

Good morning! After only 4 hours of sleep, I'm awake again. I was tossing and turning all night any how, so I might as well just get up and see what's happening in the world around me.

Mostly, I had that slop mess on my mind, from started last night just before I went to bed. So, I had to get up and take a peak outside and glad I did, It's glistening like a glazed doughnut everywhere around my house as far as I can see. I am in no way, going to take a chance on going down that hill that I call a driveway again like I did last night. I'm afraid that once I start sliding, I won't stop until I land in the woods 100 feet below....

Well, since I'm up, might as well put a pot of coffee on....
