Not much! But it's a good office, so I would work out my notice until they found someone else. It would be time for early retirement … for both of us!

You know what I would do if I won the Power Ball, I would quit my job asap, then create my own handyman business, then go around and do odd jobs and handyman projects for the Elderly, disabled and Veterans. And when it would be time to give them their bill, I would say....No charge....

If you don't mind traveling, we'll throw some jobs your way! Neither of us is remotely handy. We were absent the day they covered "handy," I guess.

Good Morning! I hope all of you with the harsh winter weather are doing okay.

Snow-in-Texas and I have a small outdoor grill and have been wanting to buy a bigger one for a year now. The size we want cost around 100 bucks and just haven't wanted to spend that yet. We sure did luck out last Saturday! We went to an estate sale and bought 2 Weber grills for 5 bucks a piece!!! We have shopped for those and the ones we just bought cost 100 bucks a piece brand new! The weather will be mild on Valentines Day and told hubby I rather cook out instead of fighting the crowds at the restaurants. Looking forward to using the grills!

Working from home again today. Believe it or not, there's still light snow coming down. Supposed to clear up later today and tomorrow, but more snow coming late Thursday into Friday. They don't know yet how much.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a bit warmer today with a high in the upper 30's. That's not going to last long though. They are talking single digits on Thursday with windchills below zero all day. Brr!!!! We haven't got the snow this winter but we have got the cold air for sure!!! Not much going on here today. I need to run up to the apartment office and pay rent since I forgot my checkbook while I was out yesterday. Other than that, I think it's just going to be a lazy day. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Good evening, friends~

What a day! Did something I've wanted to do for a few months, now.
I gave notice at work. Long story short, my boss has been closing his business, with my assistance, and he joined another firm.

I've been interviewing & found two great companies. Both offered me positions within 24 hours. So, I spent last weekend trying to make that difficult decision. And I start my new career in 2 weeks. I can finally apply my real estate education/license and make a salary, have full benefits, including a generous retirement plan, which is very important to Adi and I. Excited for a new venture!

Just winding down and hanging out with Harlowe in front of the fireplace <3

We are watching one of my favorite movies, The Holiday.

Good morning! After only 4 hours of sleep, I'm awake again. I was tossing and turning all night any how, so I might as well just get up and see what's happening in the world around me.

Mostly, I had that slop mess on my mind, from started last night just before I went to bed. So, I had to get up and take a peak outside and glad I did, It's glistening like a glazed doughnut everywhere around my house as far as I can see. I am in no way, going to take a chance on going down that hill that I call a driveway again like I did last night. I'm afraid that once I start sliding, I won't stop until I land in the woods 100 feet below....

Well, since I'm up, might as well put a pot of coffee on....

It continued warm yesterday but as promised, the rain began to fall during the afternoon and has continued overnight.
By noon it is supposed to abate, however.
We are at 37 very wet degrees here currently, and we should have a much cooler day than we did yesterday.

Good morning! Kids have a 2 hour delay this morning due it icy roads and sidewalks which means I have a 2 hr delay to work which means I have time to visit ... LOL! I swear the older the kids get the busier I get but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Not much going else going on.

great big fluffy snow flakes are slowly wafting down this morning, looks very peaceful.
Go to doc this morning about my ankle. If my friend gets work on her car done quickly, will have tea with her this morning and then work this afternoon.
Caught the mouse that was making night runs in my kitchen, hopefully that was the only one but will set out the traps again tonight just in case.

Well, I ended up taking a nap for an hour. Fell pretty good at the moment. I had to end up calling out of work for the entire day, this morning I called out till noon. This stuff is not melting at all....

I tried to go out on it, and it was like no----way!!!! One leg started going in one direction totally opposite of the other and I managed to get myself back on dry land.....

Ahhh yes, the safe comfort of a nice warm fire, lazyboy combination.:wink:

Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday! I guess we are 4 minutes from being afternoon. Been busy here at work this morning but wanted to check in & let you know that Dads surgery went well. We got home from the hospital around 1:30 yesterday afternoon - I stayed with them til about 10:00 last night & my sister spent the night. He did well. His legs have more strength already than they did pre-surgery, so hopefully things continue to go in the right direction! xx Thanks for all the thoughts & prayers. I'll be checking in on him again at lunch...and I'll make him stand up for a few minutes! (he's not going to like me much this week) cheesy

Since it's almost lunch time, I'm going to sign off & hopefully have a chance to do a little catching up this afternoon!!!

Zach made it home! He said the roads are terrible and that his car started sliding off the road about a mile from home. He said all that salt I put down on the driveway, well, the ice is starting to cover it up as well....

Wow, do I ever miss coming here! Hope all is well with everyone. No time to catch up, but all of you are in my prayers and frequently in my thoughts!

Busy, busy time right now what with work, the snow, Palmer wanting to play jingle balls in the wee hours of the morning, torn back muscles and every day chores. All is good or will be again, though!!

And great news, Lucy Fur is home!! She had been gone over three weeks and I was a bit worried because there are coyotes in the area. What a hug she gave me ~ made my evening!
