Good evening,

Another busy day today, went and did our duty and had our taxes done. We are happy with a refund coming back.

Back to work tomorrow, my 3 day weekend is never long enough, it was supposed to be 4, but only 3 were approved. With the time I missed with the flu last month, I felt I had no reason to fight it.

I hope you all had a great Tuesday.

Goodnight, everyone.

Woohoo! Always nice to get a refund!

Have a great day, Xmas!

Good Morning, from our frozen little portion of the MMC nation.

More about that presently.

First, let's look at our mid-week figures:
Days to the Season: 268
Days to Christmas Day: 310

And just look -- TOMORROW will see us down to single digits to the 300-day Christmas Day Window and the commencement of a double-200's count sequence.
(Hard to believe we are this far along, n'est-ce pas?)

Yes, we had a hard blanket of snow/sleet mix on the ground all day yesterday.
Not easy to remove from the cars.
It should rise above freezing today which will help but that's it. We then plunge into single digits and remain below freezing for at least the next couple of days.
We are at 23 degrees here, right now.
BRR....... (Well, you get the idea.)

Well, 'tis 'Pines Day once again.
Carl has taken note of the weather and tonight's theme is "Snow Foolin'!"
(Oh, oh! I sense pranks, as only Carl can pull them.)
And I've heard a snowball fight contest is in the works.
That camel never gives up, does he? (Fortunately!)
See you there.

And have a Wonderful Wednesday!

had I known you wanted snow I could have sent a few truck loads over to you, we seem to have lots to spare.

We ended up with 8 inches of snow from the first snow and another 2-3 last night. Here's an example of it is all in what we do with what we're given....snowboarding this morning...

I want to go to the museum but I don't know if I would make it through. We know someone that had to leave, it was just too overwhelming. :-(

We only went to the 9/11 Memorial because that was the only one opened at the time. I was not expecting the reaction I would have but as soon as I walked into the area my eyes watered up and was wiping tears away, I look over at Snow-in-Texas and he was doing the same. Neither one of us were expecting to become overwhelmed like we were. Not sure how we will do when we visit the museum.

I just hung up with the veterinarian, Sophia & Rosie's surgery went well. I can pick them up in a couple of hours. I miss them!

Happy to hear!

Hey guys! I really feel blah...I have chronic pancreatitis when I overeat and on vacation of course I overate this morning, now I am vomiting and have cramps, only thing that helps is to stop eating and let everything digest and then restart your digestive tract with soft foods. I should be better by morning, so I am going to go to bed and wish everyone a goodnight here! talk to you all tomorrow!

So sorry to hear. Hope you feel better soon!

Pleasant evening folks! I'm in the process of getting settled in for the night.

The plumbing work that I pain staking did today, is holding and no leaks, to this minute. I had to make some modifications to the vanity, so as there is room now, for the p-trap and water supplies and such, it turned out pretty good if I don't say.... It's one of those free standing type vanities, with legs, that looks more like a piece of furniture than a typical sink vanity...

Next thing, I have to pull up and replace some of the wood flooring that got damaged in the water. Remove the baseboard molding and trim, replace some sections of the wood flooring and then re-assemble everything again, then caulk, putty the nail holes and then it will be time to install the new toilet and vanity bowl. It's not easy, a little hard, but overall, even at times when things become a little frustrating, I still like to do this kind of stuff, as you can tell!

Well, tomorrow, back to the office, and see what all I missed today. I'll probably get in and have a hundred emails that will take two hours alone just to go thru...Ahhh, I'll just go in a little extra earlier..

Tomorrow night is tax night, going to go get them done and get that out of the way. Always hoping for that refund!!!!!!

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the plumbing situation.

Hello everyone. Crazy week!

My two year old nephew broke his wrist tonight at his little gymnastics class. He is in the hospital and it looks like they will do surgery. Please pray!

My car went out and I found out yesterday it would cost $2,500 to fix! It's not worth that, so today I got a new car.

Tomorrow we leave for Texas!

Yep...lots going on. I hope you all have a great week!

HollyJolly, beautiful picture of the snow!

Xmas, I didn't realize you had the flu. My dad and I both came down with it too. Glad you are better now!

Snowflake, is that a library in one of those cabins you posted? That would be interesting!!! cheesy

Made, I hope you are feeling better!

Snow-in-Texas is still suffering from a cold but he says he don't feel that bad. Thanks to all for the well wishes to him!

I did not get a chance to catch up on all post but wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone. Just sitting here snuggled with the doggie and having some coffee. Got to get moving soon and get some chores done.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!!

So many have been hit with it this year, we have had quite a few out with it at work.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a downright cold day here with our high of 12 degree's for the day having already been reached. The sun is shining right now but soon the winds are going to pick up and snow is going to move back in. Not a whole lot of accumulation expected but the wind chills are going to drop from the -4 that they are now down into the -20 range. Yuck!!! They will be even worse tomorrow though. Double yuck!!! Needless to say, I plan to stay inside and warm. So it will be another day of just finding stuff around here to do. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Good morning,

Heading out the door for the job in a couple of minutes, it's Ash Wednesday so I am expecting a big run on fish.

I woke up this morning to the temps outside at -14*f without windchill. Brrrrrrrr!!!!
I hope you all have a great day.

See you all tonight!

You are the only reason I have ever heard of kinklings. I would love to try one.

I e-mailed a bakery in the county (the only one I could find with a website) to ask them if they have any way of mailing kinklings. I'll let you know if I get a reply! (I tried e-mailing another bakery a few years ago, but they never replied.) The best kinklings are like little fluffy clouds coated in powdered sugar. Lighter than a donut, but a similar flavor. They're related to fastnachts---they were invented by people of German heritage.
