Christmas Countdown - 2015

Well...., I thought I would sleep good tonight, I woke up about 15 minutes ago, with a really bad headache. Which is really odd, I don't usually don't get a lot of those and to get one, that wakes me up, really weird.

Anyhow, I came down stairs here and took some Ibuprofen and drank some water and I turned on TV, started scrolling thru the guide and on IFC, Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation is on right now!!! Yes, now I think it was all meant to be, something woke me up to tell me to come downstairs and watch the Christmas movie....:thumbsup:

Did I tell any of you this story, one of my brothers, on my redneck side of my family, has 4 dogs, they all sleep in bed with him.... like I said~

Ok, 2:00 am, one of the dogs wakes him, and has to go outside and to do it's business. He gets up, let's him out, he comes back in afterwards and they both go back upstairs to bed, and he tells me, the dog, Oliver, sleeps across his legs.

Next morning, his wife, is downstairs, getting stewed, because it's 9:30am and him and the dogs are all still in bed asleep. She goes upstairs, wakes up my brother and then goes to wake up Oliver, and he's cold to her touch....lying across my brothers legs....

My brother was asleep with a dead dog, lying across his legs, all night long...

My sister-in-law is still not right about the whole ordeal...

That's so incredibly sad!

Merry Monday all. I hope everyone had a nice weekend, ours was nice. Work was quiet yesterday too .

My eldest is back at school today after half term break. it won't be long till Easter break now - only about 6wks!

I really noticed the difference in daylight this morning , lately the slightly longer days are making such a difference !

I hope you all have a great day and week ahead! I will be doing some work once I get back from the school run!

Glad to hear your son had a great break and you guys had a nice weekend! Hope your week is nice too!

Good Morning, Folks.

A new week is upon us.
A week which will see us arrive at our next Milestone, number three on our chart!
(More on that presently.)

First, let's look at the numbers to start this last week in February.
(Can we really be that far along in the year already?)
Days to the Season: 263
Days to Christmas Day: 305

And that Milestone, the 300-day Christmas Day marker, will be here this coming Saturday.
(And what a nice launch to the weekend that will be!)


We finally got some warmth yesterday as our high temperature rose into the mid 50's, just about doing away with the remaining ice.
A nice calm stretch would be appreciated at this point, but the weather service is talking more cold temps this week.
(At least ice is not being discussed much.)
We have commenced this week at 42 degrees here after an overnight rain.

In the news this morning......
Monday, February 23, 2015, 6:58 AM - It is a petrifyingly cold morning across Ontario and Quebec.
Cold records warnings have already been broken in southern Ontario, including at Toronto Pearson, as yet another day of extremely frigid temperatures looms.
"Winds gusting 20-30 km/h are giving the air a chill of -30 to -35," Weather Network meteorologist Erin Wenckstern says. "Temperatures will struggle to rebound in the afternoon, with Toronto reaching a daytime high of -15oC, feeling closer to -25."

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cold one here but not quite as cold as they were predicting last night. This morning they are saying that we will reach 10 degree's instead of the 5 they were predicting. Probably because we are already at 4 degree's. I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do today. I need to run to the grocery store but I may wait until it's a little bit warmer tomorrow. So today may just be about staying warm and cleaning up the endless mess that mom seems to make. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Warm, rainy day today. it's supposed to be close to 60° today, but back down in the 30's tonight, with rain most of the week. Yucky.

Mrs. Hilda and Lulu are both still improving, but neither likes their new diets. Mrs. Hilda has to cut out salt, fat AND sugar. Lulu has to drink filtered water and eat prescription food designed to prevent bladder stones. Bless 'em.

I gathered up all of the aluminum and chrome going on the Camaro engine and got some polishing compound. I worked on them last night, and now you have to have shades to look at my engine!

Glad to hear both ladies are improving, but bless them is right - that's big adjustments to their diets. I'm sure they'll do great!
