I just go there often and look, they always have new stuff, but most of the time the Christmas stuff is nothing I want, but when I do find something I make sure it is something I want or need. Most of the time I look for books, can't beat the prices on their books.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's sunny today, and it's supposed to get into the low 80's...and I have to work! the boss just left to catch a flight, but he left me a stack of things to take care of while he's out, doggone it!

I have jury duty tomorrow, so I'll miss work and MMC. Hopefully, it won't last too long.

My youngest daughter sounded like she may be coming down w/croup..ugh! Whenever she gets a cold it seems to go that way. Fingers crossed it is nothing.

Cold again yesterday with our high in the upper 30's and a drizzly rain by evening.
Today? Well, the weather service says 77. (That's SEVENTY-SEVEN, Folks.)
In for a nice period weather-wise?
Guess again.
By tomorrow night, we are supposed to be down in to the low 20's with another good chance of freezing rain or sleet.
(So nice of Mother Nature. I can't wait to thank her.)
We currently stand at 43 wet degrees here, after an overnight rain.

Carl says the theme will be "Marching into March".
Don't know exactly what is planned except that there will be a "marching line".
(Conga line, I presume, although often that camel will fool you.)

Good Morning!!!!! Well it s a dreary rainy day here today. Need to get my errands done during my lunch break and after work today as they are calling for a decent amount of snow tomorrow. Kids are hoping for another snow day.

I've heard that the Thursday snow will stay mostly to our south. We might get a coating or so. I hope that's correct, 'cause we're supposed to have temps in the 40s today followed by a hard freeze tonight, and there's talk of having me come in to work at 7 a.m. tomorrow. I'd rather not drive on snow on top of a hard freeze in the wee hours!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a typical winter day here. Cold and snowy. It looks like the heavy band of snow is shifting south though. So we are only going to get a couple of inches. I'm going to spend the day working on a grocery list for this week and doing my daily chores. Then it's off to the Pines!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!

My middle one stayed home from school today, she thinks she may have a sinus infection. That means another doctor appointment today. Oh well, when it rains it pours right? The dogs have a groomer appointment this afternoon. I also need to stop at the bank and then Rite Aid to pick up a prescription for my oldest. See you all later, I'll be back at some point.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been able to come catch up. We have had a few busy weeks with events, Jude's 7th birthday and party, my father in laws 60th, etc. And what's keeping us most busy is a renovation we are doing in our playroom! Someone along the line added a large closet to our bedroom and took space from our second bedroom, making it small and useless. So we knocked that closet down and we put up drywall. Now I have to just sand it today and paint the ceiling and pant the walls tomorrow to prepare for our new carpet on Saturday!!! My husband will do the finishing touches then. We are very excited!

I hated to call out but my wife stays home 99 out of 100 times with the boys and she will be out of the classroom for the next 2 days with meetings and jury duty. Fatherhood takes precedence over work for my sick little guy.

I have plenty to do but no motivation to do anything.

I'll be around for the day.

There was probably a few more I missed but I am trying

Really? My Kroger had a whole display of them in the cases where they normally put the meat that is on sale last week. There had to be at least 30 of them in there.

Maybe the people around you just don't like Turkey so they don't carry them.

Hmmm! I don't know, but what a bummer! We are surrounded by turkey farms here! Cooper Farms (huge turkey processing center) is just a few miles up the road! I think lots of people like turkey around here. Weird! Maybe someday I'll run across one! :smile:

Good afternoon MMC! I had a hard time catching up on all the posts from last night & today! Lol!

I went to see Dad last night. He looks so much better. They are still concerned with his wound - making at apt for him with the infectious disease doctor, but it's an improvement. He was up & took a few steps this morning. He only needs 1 person to assist him now instead of 2! Progress! This afternoon my brother brought mom & dads little dog Cleo (wiener dog) up to see him. Cleo was really missing Dad, & has been on hunger strike. My brother got her home & she went straight to her dog bowl & chowed down! cheesy I'll probably go back to see him again after work. Mom is still at home waiting on results from her culture. Don't want her going to see Dad if she's contagious! Poor lady!

I'm having fun with my fitbit so far. Still trying to learn what it all can do. I printed off the owners manual this morning. Yesterday I got in over 11,000 steps & last night I did the 30 minute of strength training on my new dvd - WOW - I had to do a mile walk dvd after b/c my legs were burning & wobbly!! LOL! This morning they still felt fatigued & now they are starting to hurt! How did I get so out of shape?? :-?

Glad to hear your dad has made some progress.
Hope your legs are feeling a bit better by this afternoon, glad you are having fun with the fitbit.

Should I be concerned that I am 40 years old and still laugh when I see, read, say, or hear the word wiener? :lol:
