Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening, friends! Not much going on here today. Looking forward to changing the clocks here tonight! I'm looking forward to the more daylight and warmer weather, plus I also get to work one less hour of work tonight!!! [emoji2]

Anyway, we're just hanging out, not really getting ourselves in to anything!

It was cool!! I guess it was her and another girl going for it and my niece beat her and still had 4 tickets left.

Evening all,
I was really battling it out all afternoon with the plumbing underneath that new vanity I installed, and it's an epic battle. Vanity won the first round (today), tomorrow, I will prevail....and kick it's butt!!!!

I stripped the threads to one sink drain trying to install it, It came with the Delta faucet), broke another one that I replaced the first one with. Then I remembered, that I had a replacement in the garage, start to install it and realized, that I had already scabbed some parts from it, to fix another sink.... And then to top it all, I go back up to Home Depot, purchase another one, get home and when I opened up the package, it's mostly made of some cheap plastic... That's going back tomorrow!

Ugggh, I'm determined now! But, I had to stop and get myself cleaned up so we can go down to dinner tonight with the wife's parents. It's her mom's birthday, it's sometimes hard to believe, that my mil is only 14 years older than me...

Other than that plumbing problem, I got a lot of other stuff done, so it was not a complete loss/ frustrating day. I have a feeling that I'm going to eat dinner and with that full tummy thing going on, I'll be asleep before no time tonight~

Well it's getting close to be time to go, so I will talk to you all later. Enjoy your evenings tonight~

I've already went around and changed all of the clocks so I can try and convince myself to go to bed earlier instead of missing that hour of sleep.

A Saturday hello to everyone!

Just a regular ol' dull Saturday, but that's fine … it's a day at home. A couple of big freelance jobs converged on Mr., and he was already booked from Monday through the 16th, including the weekend, so he's working furiously this weekend to get those jobs done first. He works SO hard. I'm relaxing after our afternoon errands, but not very well---we had a quick lunch at McD's, and something is disagreeing with me. Hope it will be out of my system soon. I'm about to put in a DVD and pick up my crochet. Have a swell evening! Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead!

Good morning!!!! Uggghhh, why, why did my eyes open at 4:30 this morning...Not right for a Saturday! I woke up and started thinking about work and that did it, no more sleepy-sleepy for me.....

Well, since I'm up, might as well put the coffee pot on.cheesy

I had some maple glazed bacon jerky at work on break today. THAT is good stuff!

Well, while I'm up, what am I going to do today.... Looks like my list is like:

• Install a back splash behind the bathroom vanity.
• Install a faucet and hook up all the plumbing to it.
• Install towel bars, TP holder and mirror.
• Install the curtain rod brackets, rod and curtains.
• Meet a contractor at the house here to get a quote on some tile work.
• Sand and spackle some spots in the basement walls.
• Put a new bedroom door handle/ lock on my daughters bedroom.
• Clean up some more snow in the driveway for more parking.

Not sure about the afternoon activities yet!!!! :lol:

Looks like you need to get (or did) a lot of work done. I hope your afternoon was a little lighter.

I can hear some Jimmy Buffet playing in the background, right at the moment, Mele Kalikimaka.....

If you dive into a pool around here you may crack your skull, the ice has got to be quite thick from it being so cold this winter.

Now here's a pondering. Why must a contractor call you at 7am; on a Saturday now, mind you, to let you know that he will be there between 1 and 3pm.

Now maybe it was destiny or something, but luckily, I was already up, and they called my cell phone, and it was on the table next to me, on low ring.

It did not wake up a soul that is sleeping here......

Finally home from my sister's. My oldest niece gets tickets at school for different things and they can spend them for different snacks through out the year or save them for an auction where they have bigger prizes. Well my niece saved them all year for the auction and managed to win herself a new bike. So I had to put that together today. I also had to change the brake lights in my sister's car and get the candy wrapper out of the seat belt receiver that my niece decided to stick down in there. We went out to lunch and did a few other things too. Now my head is hurting worse than last night and I'm exhausted. LOL!!!!! I need to get some stuff done around here now though. So no rest for the weary. At least I can watching some racing while I get it done. I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday's!!!!!
