Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's another nice day here, with a high near 80. This weekend is the Rattlesnake Roundup, and it's a big deal for our small county. It's turned into a huge outdoor festival, with arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, musical acts, beauty pageant (although being crown "Snake Queen" has dubious appeal), etc. I was, of course, kidding about the Snake Queen thing. The actual title is Miss Rattlesnake & Wildlife Festival, and it's accredited with the Miss Georgia Pageant Association. All that means is the queen can advance to the Miss GA Pageant along with all the other contestants from around the state.

The sad thing is, it's supposed to storm on Saturday, which is the biggest day for the festival. I hope it holds off long enough to have a successful festival!

Enjoy the nice weather!! I hope the rain misses you on Saturday! xx Don't want it to rain on your parade! We actually have a "Pork Queen" at the Pork Festival not far from here! :lol: What a title, huh? Have a GREAT time this weekend!

Mrs. Hilda tried to stop the pain meds too soon a couple of times, and it took a while to get it back under control. If you stay ahead of the pain, it's usually tolerable, but if you let it get in front, it's hard to catch up again.

Praying he continues to improve! cheesy

Exactly!! My sis was at the "care meeting" this morning & expressed that he needs to be on a more constant pain control, not when he asks for it - which he doesn't ask until the pain starts. So ya...hopefully that will change now! Thanks Brad!

Good morning Made! That rain that your going to get, must be the stuff that is heading this way for the weekend that they are hallowing about around here. I'm home at the moment myself, trying to switch my body back over to working the evening/ overnight shift again...Not thrilled about that ....at....all!!!!!

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve! And a gorgeous Friday Eve at that!

Unfortunately Dad was having a rough morning - awful pain. BUT my sis is there & said he is up & moving & had his pain pill & things are getting better. xx They are going to have to figure something out for his pain. Maybe a more constant pain med rather than only when he asks for it - which is usually too late! Ahhhhh! Hopefully this afternoon we can take him outside to soak up some sun!

Last night was pretty uneventful. I picked up my girl from the groomer & I made taco's for supper. I haven't made them for years & I don't know why! They are so YUMMY! I'm really wanting to grill out tonight, but we might have to eat taco's again! I went to Moms to dry my laundry since my dryer is not working at the moment. Grrrrr! That's about it!

Boo!!!! Hope you don't have to pull to many overnight shifts!!! I know, that's exactly how I feel. The last time (a few weeks back) that I did this, it messed up my sleeping pattern for about 10 days....That's the part that I dread the most....


Come on over!!! I just picked up hot dogs and smoked sausage links to cook on the grill this evening!!!! All man, that des sound good! I'm still waiting for the snow and ice to melt, so that I pick up and re-assemble my patio set, that got tossed around in the wind, snow, sleet and freezing rain mess that we had. It's starting to re-appear from being buried and right next to that, is the grill with the cover, frozen solid... But, I'm holding out with anticipation (sounds like a ketchup commercial), for that spring day, when I can fire up grill and see the smoke rising out of it, with all the hamburgers, hotdogs and sausages cooking in it.....

They are a local butcher/slaughter house/meat processing plant/small grocer, etc. I don't think they go beyond Ohio. I think they do ship, but I'm sure it's expensive.
