Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's another nice day here, with a high near 80. This weekend is the Rattlesnake Roundup, and it's a big deal for our small county. It's turned into a huge outdoor festival, with arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, musical acts, beauty pageant (although being crown "Snake Queen" has dubious appeal), etc. I was, of course, kidding about the Snake Queen thing. The actual title is Miss Rattlesnake & Wildlife Festival, and it's accredited with the Miss Georgia Pageant Association. All that means is the queen can advance to the Miss GA Pageant along with all the other contestants from around the state.

The sad thing is, it's supposed to storm on Saturday, which is the biggest day for the festival. I hope it holds off long enough to have a successful festival!

I totally agree with you Merry! Their food is so good, every time I have went there, I have always walked away full, satisfied and happy! I was even thrilled that just when I was having my dinner served to us, I got a phone call from my boss, so I got up and took it out the restaurant, well, without my asking so, the waitress took my plate back and kept it warm for me until I came back and sat down again. For that, she got a 35% tip from me. That's the kind of service that I like.....

That is pretty great of them to keep your plate warm like that.

Mmmmm, taco's sure do sound good! I've been standing inside the house, looking out thru the slider lately, just staring at the grill, thinking to myself, man a grilled hotdog (just a tad burned) with some good mustard on it sure does sounds good!!!!

Busy day at the store, but so nice and sunny it made up for it.
Still having problems with my ankle, lots of swelling and stiff and sore. One day it is great and next like this, very frustrating. I know it takes a long time to heal, I just lack the patience to wait for it. :-(

Another rough day at work, this week just won't come to an end fast enough.

Watched my Bruins win a tough game tonight, they are coming together at the right time of the year.

Tomorrow will be a tough day as it usually is for me, it is the 24th anniversary of my mother's passing, I seem to struggle on that date every year.

There is word of more snow coming for this weekend, I don't know how much yet but it will be only par for the course that the last weekend of the winter be with snow.

I am heading to bed, gotta be up & at 'em bright and early.

Water is all dried up tonight. Ran the dehumidifier, swept up all the excess water off the porch stairs and it is gone. ( I believe the water was pooling up on the stairs and finding away into the basement from there.)
