Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

When I was cleaning the pool deck last weekend, I had to get the pool cover off of the deck. I folded on the top rail of the pool and held it down with bricks. I knew better than to leave it overnight, but I wanted the wood to dry without mildewing. Sure as the world, the wind pulled a dozen bricks into the water, along with all the leaves and dirt that was on top of the cover. Now I have to get in the pool to get that stuff out. Grrrr....and Brrrr!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

When I was cleaning the pool deck last weekend, I had to get the pool cover off of the deck. I folded on the top rail of the pool and held it down with bricks. Well friends, it seems I come here lately for prayers for sick family members. My dad was admitted to ICU at the local hospital yesterday for heart issues. He already has a pacemaker & defibrillator. His heart rate was way too high & he is very weak. He is being transferred to another hospital today. Hopefully it can be solved by fixing the pacemaker/defibrillator and is nothing more serious. Any & all prayers appreciated.

At this point, I feel that I am doomed. Dad has congestive heart failure, so did his mom & his dad. Either a heart attack or stroke will do me in. My risk of being diabetic is high too since both my parents & one grandparent were diabetic. However, the hereditary dementia might get me first...:sad:

I told mom yesterday that I'm going on to the funeral home to make my arrangements!

I'd love to get into the Christmassy spirit by listening to Christmas music, but right now I just can't. Somebody else here do it for me please! I hope you all have a great day.

Thanks snowflake! Like my co-worker said - this is like a vacation day for us! Ha ha ha!! This boss just has "a bit" of a temper sometimes!!! He's awesome on Fridays, but stay away from him on Mondays. LOL! He gets better as the week goes on! You have a great day!!

Thanks! Looks like we'll be going back. This might sound funny but we bought a patio set from Kroger for out at the lake a few years ago & we LOVE it!! Jim went to Menards & then Kroger & he said Kroger is just today getting out their patio furniture so we'll go back later this week to check it out!

Sounds like you (and me) need to take preventative measures. Watch your diet, plenty of exercise & exercise that brain too! We have a lot of heart issues in my family, & my Dad had a stroke when he was 69 & he was slightly diabetic. I lost a brother at 58 to heart attack & had another brother who had a heart attack at 52. My Mom has been on heart meds for years. Moms side of the family has a lot of dementia issues as they age. It's motivation for me to get out walking & "try" to watch what I eat. I have been told so many times that walking regularly is the best medicine for so many things! I hope everything turns out fine for you & your family!!! I'll be praying for you all!! Hang in there!!
