She hasn't been feeling well, and the vet found too much bad bacteria present again. Fingers crossed that the medicines they're prescribing make her feel better & get her well-if not, more tests.

Another weekend approaches and tomorrow is Weekend Eve again!

Let's take a peek at today's figures:
Days to the Season: 211
Days to Christmas Day: 253

Tomorrow, my Friends -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 1/3 Christmas Day Milestone,
The day after that -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 200-day Season Window, as our back-to-back Milestone Days approach.
(Is it just me, or does that make it seem like the year is really starting to pick up speed?)


Well, it seemed as if the rain fell almost continuously yesterday, although never hard. Another wet one is on tap for today, but we are suppsedly in for a more Friendly Friday. We shall see.
For now, things have kicked off here in the capital city at 48 degrees, with a light drizzle.

The Crowns are off to Florida for a week to visit relatives and attend a school reunion. We are leaving early this Saturday morning and will not return until the following Saturday evening.
As such, a dependable and willing volunteer (or volunteers) will be needed for eight mornings begining this Saturday.
Any takers?
(The first to volunteer will not be turned away -- I promise!)

Dad Update: He went for his follow-up appt. yesterday. The PA said she had looked at his file & it looked like the "shock" worked to lower his heart rate, but it will take a while for the new meds to fully kick in so that he isn't exhausted all the time. Mom said his gout is better too.

Now we wait for aunt's surgery on Monday.

I'm glad your father is doing better. Continued prayers for your dad and Aunt.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a rainy cloudy day here with a high in the upper 60's. Boo!!!! Bring back the sunshine!!! I need to run to the grocery store this morning and I need to get my niece a birthday card too. Other than that, not much going on. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

It's actually starting to look and feel like spring around here. At least the snow is all gone, which we wouldn't have thought was even possible a few weeks ago! It'll be gray and wet tomorrow, but outside it looks as though today is trying to make up for that.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!!! Jumping in here to say good morning before I try to get caught up on posts!

I had a productive (and expensive) night last night - I picked up 8 stackable chairs & a small table for our patio & ordered a patio set from Home Depot! Hopefully we can get that picked up tonight! Also finally made the pork chops & taters on the grill! Delish! Hubby went to the Legion with some of our friends (It was too nice outside for me to sit down there, so I stayed home...) & here our electrician friend won the drawing! $650.00! Not bad! Our neighbor had to come over & sit in a new chair - make sure they were going to work ok! HA! So far today is sunshine & beautiful (windy though) but the sky's are looking funny to the west! Could be "one of them days" as far as the weather goes!!

You guys look great! I can't believe some of the things I wore in the 80's. I love looking back at photos, it's too funny.

The thing I recall from the '80's were all the girls had "big" hair. The movies were fun, and TGIF Friday nights on ABC.

We love "The Goldberg's" now, it brings us back to that time every episode.

Good morning, everyone!

It's almost afternoon.... I picked up a shift at a school I have not been to in about two months. The students here are really good and have been easy to get along with thus far. The best part about the school is that they have three of their four classes in the morning. Then, there is only one more class after lunch. Awesome!

It is yet another beautiful day in the Ottawa area. At the moment, we're around double digits (low 50s), and should be reaching the upper teens (60s) this afternoon. Oh, and the sun is shining, too - can't beat that!

Tonight should be somewhat busy. I have to make the second part of dinner - Kim and I did the first part last night. I also have hockey at 9pm tonight. We play our semifinal game tonight. If we win, we move on to the finals. If we lose, our season is over. We'll see how it goes!

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday thus far. The weekend is nearly a day and a half away!

Looking at the date just reminded me that it was 1 month ago today that Dad passed away! :sad: In some ways I can't believe it's been a month already, & in others it seems like an eternity! Regardless - he is missed! :sad:

Good afternoon to all. Slow day here at the office, which makes to a very long day....I'm in between project submissions at the moment and so, I suppose one could equate this as like the eye of the storm, calm, quiet and peaceful part, before all heck breaks loose again....

At least one good thing about days like this, is that you can expect to get out of the office on time. Going to pick up Victoria this evening, one day ahead of schedule because she does not have any classes tomorrow and then I think after that we are going to take her out to dinner.

I'm so thrilled that it is now getting to be late Thursday afternoon, because that means that the weekend is getting closer and closer and that soon we can then enjoy our time spent doing things around and in our home...Which to me is so relaxing and much more enjoyable!

Tonight, it's supposed to start raining here sometime around midnight and lasting on and off throughout the morning on Friday, but the weekend is supposed to be beautiful....

Hope everyone has a nice afternoon today....

We worry about our pets like they were our children. Lulu is still having trouble getting rid of the bacteria, too. Praying Har gets along better quickly!
