Well I survived the doctors appointment with only 4 prescriptions. They were nice and are letting me wait 2 weeks before they steal all of my blood. Of course, I don't get to eat or drink before that appointment. So hopefully I can make it for as soon as they open. LOL!!

Oh lucky you...Got an appointment with the vampires huh? I'm not a good one to have blood work done because they have a hard time finding veins...Thick skin/ deep veins~

One time I had this one woman that stuck a needle in my arm to put in an IV and she was moving that needle around in there to hit that vein...After the 5th attempt, I said lady, you stick the dam thing in my arm one more time, me and you are going to go around this room a few times.... She left the room and another woman came in, bop, she hit it the first time... I told her that I loved her....

Hope the meds work for you buddy!!!

Snow continues to fall from time to time today, thankfully not accumulating, going to be -2 tonight . I am hunkering down early because my get up and go let me hours ago. Had some kind of allergy attack at work that left me drained. Have no idea what triggered it. So on this chilly night sounds nicer to curl up with a good book .
Have fun at the pines, Carl sent me his brand of allergy pills but they ate 4" long so I will let him keep them. ..but the thought was nice!

LOL!!!! You sound like my mom. It took 2 people and 5 attempts yesterday before they got her. Next week, they are just going to send her to the lab at the hospital to get it done.

Well Folks, I'm going to call it an early night on here so I can knock out a few things I need to get done. Tomorrow is going to be a weird day for me. After a few years of looking for the perfect job, I had to take what I could get. So I start at walmart tomorrow. Eventually I'll be doing overnight stock from 10pm to 7am. I have to start out on first shift though for orientation tomorrow and then a few days of training. So I have to be there at 7am tomorrow morning. Which means that I have to get up at the latest 5:30am and more likely 5am. That's normally when I'm falling asleep. Boo!!! After so many years of doing my own thing with STS though and only seeing my boss twice a year, it's going to be hard to go back to a set schedule with a boss looking over my shoulder all night long. I'll survive though. Hopefully. LOL!!!!

I'll try to check in tomorrow morning if I get up in time but if I don't, I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, they did the very same thing to me as well. Had an appointment, go to the dentist, he taps on it with a metal instrument, "does that hurt you when I do that?" no, I just like to jump off the chair while a metal instrument is in my mouth....:-?... "I am going to recommend that you see an endodontist for a root canal..."

What, that's it???? Are you serious...That was like take 2 aspirins and call me in the morning! A week later till I got the root canal, the first part....fun, fun, fun

Well, at least we know now how it's done ... There's a chance I may be able to get it done this Friday. If I'm lucky. Not a good bet these days!

Well, that was a bust! Turns out that today's appointment was only a consultation, not the root canal work. The specialist rapped on my tooth with a metal instrument, asked me how it felt. Had me bite down on cotton, asked me how it felt. Advised me to make an appointment for a root canal. (Duh!) Oh, and the crown will have to be replaced, too. $210.00, pay as you exit, thank you. Really. And they couldn't give me an estimate for the work because the girl who was at the desk didn't know how to do it.



I guess it's not their fault that I believed the work was to be done today, but I still feel "taken." I'm no farther along in getting this fixed than I was last week, and it cost me over $200. I'm pretty upset right now.

I'm so sorry MerryCarey. I hope you can get another appointment soon. Sending hugs your way.

Good afternoon everyone! I only have a few minutes, I have some things to do before the game tonight. We're going to leave a little bit early and grab something to eat on the way. I had to share this picture. There was a rainbow over our Coliseum this morning, this is where the Islanders play. The team will be moving to Brooklyn next season which is very sad. How do you move the Islanders off of the Island? They will begin to renovate the Coliseum this summer so everyone is hoping and praying that they will eventually bring the team back home. Anyway, I thought it was a cool picture. Maybe it's good luck! I'll try and pop back in after the game. Hope everyone is well!

Well, the NFL schedule is out. It looks as if my family tradition is not happening this year. We were hoping the Packers would be in Green Bay on December 27th, but it appears they are in Arizona that weekend. The awful part is that it was going to be Kim's first Packers/Lambeau Field experience. She has become a massive Packers fan in the past decade. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement.

Sorry to hear that your tradition won't be able to happen this year.

Good Morning!
Happy Pines Day!
I didn't make it back here last night, the hockey game went to overtime and we got home late. Islanders lost but we're still in it. Series is tied at two, they play again tomorrow night. We had a lot of fun but I have to say it was a rough crowd. Maybe a little too rough for me. I heard more cursing last night than I've heard in all of my 46 years put together. I saw and heard some pretty entertaining stuff! And we were exhausted by the end of the game from the stress of it all, lol. But I'm glad I got to go to a playoff game, it was an experience. Very exciting.
Anyway, not too much going on here today. I have a couple of quick errands to run and lots of laundry to work on. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Sorry the Islanders lost the game, at least you got to see a playoff game live in person.
