Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. Feeling much better this morning, minus the headache and lingering cough that I have. I'm going to make myself a pot of chicken soup today. I wanted to make it last week but I just didn't get around to it.
My two oldest are taking the written part of the state board exam for their Esthetics license. Fingers crossed all goes well for both of them.

Can another week be upon us so soon?
Can we really be over half way through May?
Can we really already be in the second half of our Season Countdown?
Can we really be just THREE weeks away from the 200-day Christmas Day marker, and the start of a double-100's count sequence?

If you can answer "Yes!!" to all of the above, you came to the right place.

It was definitely warmer and more humid yesterday. Not conducive to vigorous outdoor work.
Today should be similar, with a chance of rain tomorrow afternoon.
We are at 70 degrees here, the present moment.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm a proud dad this morning!!

Friday night, Jacob played a gig at a local bakery & eatery, just his guitar and the two girls singing, and it was super! I think they're considering putting together a smaller group with just the three of them.

Saturday night, Elizabeth's ballet recital was just beautiful! I'm not saying this just because she's my daughter, but she really stole the show. At the reception afterwards, so many people came up to tell her so. She really did shine!

Then last night, Jacob played with a group of guys at a nearby church. It was a praise & worship service, and that was spectacular, too. Especially since he'd only practiced with them for an hour two days earlier. What a great show and service!

I know I'm turning into one of those gushing parents that you can't trust to deliver the truth, but I swear my kids are AWESOME!

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be hot and humid here again today. Relief is in sight though with a high of just 65 predicted for tomorrow!!! Woohoo!!! Nothing to special happening here today. Just need to make some phone calls and run a few errands. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Nothing like waiting 2 weeks to get into the ortho and having them call you 2 days before your appointment to tell you they no longer take your insurance. Guess I'll add a call to the Doctor's office to see who else they recommend.

Well now, I'm back. All my running is done for the next several hours. I got my grandfather to 3 doctors visits. This time I got smart, I got a wheelchair and wheeled him around every where's, he liked that and so did I. He can walk pretty good with his cane, but it's just a lot of walking for a man going on 97....So, buying a wheelchair made a lot of sense.

Lisa's allergies are really going off the deep end today (her eyes), she say's they feel like they are burning a hole thru her brain, and she has a massive headache because of them, so she is upstairs trying to rest a bit. So, being what it is, that means I am limited to the amount of noise I can make in the house at the moment....

I have no plans for tonight other than just being here at home and getting into what ever I get into.
