Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday!! :hi:



As I mentioned the recital last night was cute, but very long! What helped me get through it was they danced to 4 Christmas songs! cheesy Took me by surprise! Love it! My neighbor was sitting a couple rows behind me & she texted me asking if I was loving the Christmas music. LOL! I would probably enjoy it more if they did this in February ~ it was way, way to nice outside to be stuck inside with no windows. But at least I could drive the convertible there!



We don't have any major plans for the weekend. Tonight our lake neighbor wants to have a party on their patio, but there's a chance of rain so we'll see. Tomorrow Jim is golfing in a tournament with several of the lake guys, so us girls are planning a girls day out on our bicycles! :-D And now my friend JUST texted me asking if they could come out to the lake Sunday - so hopefully that will work out!

Good morning, everyone!

Friday has arrived. Our favourite part of the week is so close! I am sure you're all just as excited as me for the weekend. For today, however, it appears that storm clouds are moving in this afternoon. We really haven't had a lot of humidity, yet we could be in for some thundershowers.

It's better this is all happening today than tomorrow... I had my sports massage on my calf yesterday. It went really well. She really relieved plenty of tension around the area, too. Rather than limping because of my injury, today, I am now limping because of all the pressure she put elsewhere. As of right now, it was certainly worth the money (and pain). I am really hoping there are not any setbacks today. I have a race to run tomorrow and don't want to waste my $70 entry fee. Initially, I had planned to win the race, but now I will have to see how my calf holds up. Hopefully I can push it!

Well, we're nearing the weekend and that ever-so obtainable 200-Days until Christmas Day Milestone! Both are very exciting! And, of course, at least it gives us a reason to look forward to Monday!

Mom will tell you she is okay as she complains about how bad her head is hurting, the sharp pains behind her right eye, and as she stumbles around because her balance is off. No need to go to the ER though. Never heard back from the Neurosurgeon either.

Awe ~ I feel for her. After Dads stroke until the day he died (18 years) he had off & on problems with terrible stabbing pain behind his eye. Most of the time it was fine, but a couple times a year it would flare up. I hope it leaves her alone soon. That's ridiculous that the Neurosurgeon never called back! :-?

Update on Gloria: she came through the surgery okay. (Thank you for all the prayers, everyone!) She'll be in the hospital for about a week, then she'll be transferred to a care facility. (I don't know whether that's only for rehab or permanent---we hope it's only temporary.) I hope we can get back in touch with her directly before long---maybe she'll ask for her iPad when she's feeling better.

I just got a call from Adrian's doctor, and he is out of surgery. He said that everything went well He'll be in the recovery room for a bit, and then they will call me when it's okay to pick him up and take him home.
