Good Morning, Fellow Voyagers.

Sailing on, we now find that we are only 9 days off from the 50 percent marker to Christmas Day 2015.
SINGLE DIGITS!

Days to the Season: 149
Days to Christmas Day: 191

Well, we did it yesterday.
Hit 100 degrees. (100.8 to be exact.)
The weather service says we should reach 100 again tomorrow with today being a cool 97, as our bone dry weather continues.
We stand just half a degree short of 80 here at this hour in the capital city.

But now the good news, straight from the camel's mouth at the Shispering Pines.
In light of the weather, Carl is holding a pool-side party at our resort of choice this evening. Along with the usual entertainment, fired twinkies and sweet southern iced tea, we are promised a dunking contest with his truly volunteering to be one of the dunkees.
(There is a rumor floating about that Carl has rigged the platform not to fall when he's on it, but it's just a rumor. Carl wouldn't do that..........would he?)
Regardless, it should be another fine evening at the S.P. Hope to see you there!

In the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?

Good morning Crown, Happy Pines Day!
Thank you so much, hope you have a great day!

Good morning, everyone!

I have tried to visit while teaching the past few days, but it seems that I keep having some issues connecting to MMC from the school board. Very strange. Either way, I am home today. Today is the last day of classes, so not many teachers can take it off as they have their final reviews before exams. It's hard to believe that the school year is almost complete. I had my final day of teaching yesterday, which was very nice. I still have one more day, however. They asked me to come in to supervise for the day on Friday. It will be a nice way for me to end the (working) school year. I get to attend the Grade 12 graduation next Wednesday.

Speaking of graduation... Congratulations to our good friend, coach, who should be welcoming in his daughter sometime in the very near future! I, like everyone else, am very excited to hear the news!

Well, it's the final 'Pines Day before the officially beginning of summer. Yet another wondrous feat lies ahead. As Crown said, we should all be very cautious of Carl. I, for one, am not going anywhere near that platform!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! See you at the 'Pines tonight!

I have come across this almost exclusively on mini-lights I have bought from Rite Aid. It drives me nuts. You can try to re-twist them and use a green twist tie or something like that to keep it together.

Thanks for the advice! Mine were from Home Depot. They seem like good quality, except for the un-twisting.

I'm finding that I'm not the only one who is annoyed by this!

Well, the moment is upon us. What started off 9 months ago concludes tomorrow morning.

Our little girl will come.

A lot of nervous energy...nerves are pretty much shot. I'm sure you all remember the worries...I'm having all of those. We have to be at the hospital in 5 hours and 30 minutes, but I don't think I will be sleeping.

I'm ready, but scared all at the same time. But it is the best kinda scared I can imagine.

I will be back soon. Hopefully, I will get to check in at some point.

If you don't mind, prayers and good vibes are appreciated.

Best wishes today!!! Sending prayers EVERYTHING goes very well!! Good luck! Exciting!!

Good evening,

I am up later than I want to be, like usual, but it was busy around here cleaning up the house, mowing the lawn, and JP's ball game.

Tomorrow is JP's 4th grade graduation, middle school starts at 5th grade so it is a big deal as he starts a new school next year.

I will be going in to work later so I won't miss it, but I won't get home until after 930pm at the earliest.

I need to get some shuteye, it will be a long day tomorrow.

Goodnight, everyone.

Here is my favorite Jethro Tull Christmas song, my wife loves this one too.

Very true! Cute!

Good morning!
Happy Pines Day!
Not too much going on here today, just working on some chores around the house this morning. I think I'm going to do some Fathers Day shopping this afternoon. I also decided I'm going to invite family over for brunch on Sunday so I need to work on a menu plan. I have lots of cleaning to do too. I kind of let the house go this past week, I'm sure that will keep me busy the next few days. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good luck with your chores, shopping & meal planning!! We are having both families out to the lake again for Fathers Day, even though someone very important will be missing! I picked up a few things for the party last night, but I'll run to the butcher (my BIL) for burgers, brats, & dogs - but that might have to wait until Friday! There is too much rain/flooding today!! EEK!

Good morning, friends! How are you doing? I know I've been MIA for a few days, but I've been doing some overtime, and today is the day, we'll be leaving for the beach tonight around 11:30 pm. I can't wait!

I still have some packing to do today and gotta run and grab some snacks, but as for any groceries we want to get, we'll get those when we get down there.

Hope you're all well and having a great week so far! Happy Pines Day to you all!

Good Morning everyone!!!

Well little league season came to end last week. That only leaves the hubby playing softball for a few more weeks. My kids are done school tomorrow and my daughter's 8th grade graduation dance is tonight ... sniff ... cant believe my little girl is going into high school. Time sure does go by fast.

The other night I scored 2 indoor animated christmas reindeer on an facebook yard sale site. They are pretty big too and I cant wait to use them this year.

Have a great day!!!

Hi Minta! Congrats to your daughter! I'll be hoping to see pictures of those reindeer this year! Have a great day!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

What an evening I had yesterday! I took Jacob to his guitar lesson, and went to Wal-Mart to pickup a few things. That's where I went wrong.

Elizabeth's phone is one of the Straight-Talk deals where you buy a monthly card at Wal-Mart. Anyway, they scanned this card 4 times at 3 different registers before they realized that their internet connection to Straight-Talk was down, so it wouldn't "authorize" the card. In the meantime, Wal-Mart had charged my debit card 4 times!! They reimbursed me for three of them, and they thought the 4th was automatically reimbursed. But when I got home to check my account, it wasn't returned to me. So, I have to go back to Wally World again today. Hopefully, they won't give me any trouble. Grrrr.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Oh frustration!! Hope it gets all sorted out today. Another dreaded trip to Walmart! Have a great day Brad!

Happy Wednesday Holiday!

Thanks Holiday.
I definitely feel better after speaking with the doctor. I obviously still wish it didn't go down the way it did but I understand now how they came to their conclusion. I was too distraught last week to even comprehend it. The doctor answered all of our questions, did not rush us and was very compassionate.

Thank you!
I'm so glad the meeting with the doctor helped you feel better!!

It is quite crazy. It seems to fly by, regardless of whether you're in the school year or on vacation!
