Christmas Countdown - 2015

I was thinking this morning how it's almost that time where daylight starts going the other direction. THAT makes me sad!

Me too! I really enjoy the summertime and the extra daylight.

What's making me a little blue this morning is missing the feeling of being a kid on the last day of school before summer vacation. On my way to work I saw a Ben & Jerry's truck pull in to a local elementary school. I'll bet it's a treat for the kids on the last day of school.

I'm also missing not getting away for a vacation this year. I can take a few days off here and there, but Mr. won't be with me because if he doesn't have another assignment, he'll be covering for me while I'm off.

Okay, enough of that. It's Friday! It's summertime!

We are still in the hospital and likely will be dismissed tomorrow around 2 or 3.

For sure! I was so happy for those kids. I hope the ice cream is a surprise for them! (But their poor moms, when the kids come home hyped up on sugar! cheesy)

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday!!! I'm having a hard time concentrating on work today! I'm ready for the weekend! Praying for NO MORE RAIN - though it's threatening now! I'm thinking about what I all need to get done before the Fathers Day cookout, not knowing if we will be able to have it at the lake or if it will have to be at our house. We have had Fathers Day at the lake for the last 15 years & it has never been rained out. Maybe Dad doesn't want us to have Fathers Day at the lake w/o him! Hmmm! :wink:

I have to take Mom to her cardiologist apt this afternoon. This is her 1st meeting with her new cardiologist. I'm anxious to hear what he has to say! She's really hoping he gives her the ok to drive again! Mom wants to get some groceries afterwards & then I'll head towards the lake to see how much water is still standing!

Jim wants to get some mulching done at home tomorrow if it's not raining. Everything we want to do this weekend is pending on this darn rain! cheesy

I've managed to login before 11am. It has been quite some time since MMC has allowed me to do this. It's officially my last day at Russell for the school year. At the moment, I have the "difficult" task of hall monitoring during exams. All is quiet and easy at the moment.

It is a rather chilly morning in Ottawa. Temperatures were barely in the double digits when I left for work this morning. Despite the chilliness, there isn't a cloud in he sky. Blue skies should be here until, at least, Sunday when a bit of rain will move in.

Some city workers are supposed to stop by our house today to change our water meters. They probably will not need to come in our apartment, but rather than take the risk, I drove our escape artist cat (Simon) to Kim's friend Britt's house, where he will get to hangout with his "friend" Charles. Hopefully they get along... Simon has never gotten out of the house, we would just rather not have a careless city worker give him the opportunity to escape. I will have to pickup Simon after work. Here's hoping he enjoys his "playdate."

Well, the weekend has almost arrived. Hopefully it will be a good one... after all, summer officially begins on Sunday!! Have a great Friday, everyone!

I am hoping so, too. I am going to assume that it is something with the connection and WiFi here. Perhaps it will be sorted out next school year. Until then, I won't have much to worry about since I will be working at Passport again starting Monday. From there, I will just check in on tapatalk.

Adrian is going to spend the weekend in Tomah with his Dad and sister.

Har & I are going to La Crosse.
I have another aunt and uncle (Dad's side this time)
Celebrating their golden anniversary, so we will be going to that party tomorrow. 50 years, wow!
And then I'll just stay overnight at my folks, to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday.
And then road trip back home Sunday night!
