Good morning MMC! The whirlwind week continues. I looked outside my window this morning and it's pouring down rain! I'm just trying to keep my head above water with work this week, but that's okay because I enjoy what I do. Just busy, plain and simple! After this weekend though, things get considerably less busy!! August is always a time of hitting the brakes on summer and starting to get ready for the rhythm of fall...SO can't believe it's almost August and then we'll be in the -ber months!! That happy thought will get me through this week--I think I can, I think I can!

Good Morning everyone. Hump Day is always a very good inspiration to climb over any hurdle and get to Friday.

Been super busy, can't even get here for the most part to hang out. I have been busy at work and extremely super busy around the house as well, getting the place to just where it needs to be in order to move my grandfather in with us in about 8 weeks. I am replacing and updating everything that I can so that it is user friendly, ADA accessible and feels like home. Just recently I started to move outdoors and started doing things outside as well; like removing retaining walls, flower beds. trees, etc...I have way too many irons in the fire at the moment and even my Mrs. is concerned about that and me. She yelled at me this past weekend because I was working so hard out in the 95 degree heat, I almost passed out from the heat and lack of hydration...I scared her to the point where she almost called 911~ Not good!

I just see things and when I do, I just have to fix it, improve on it or change it out. At times, I take on too many things all at one time and I get a little overwhelmed....It's my fault, it's in my nature, I just can't sit still and wait for that crooked picture to fall of the wall, I have to get up, straighten it out or replace the wall anchor.....

I hoping to get it all under control soon. Things are looking really good, spending some serious dough, but I am getting a lot closer to my finish line....

Good to see you, Xmastidings! I know you need and want to keep chipping away at things, but make sure to keep taking care of yourself! Hope all is well with you!

Not only that, but we are already to the LAST 'Pines Day of July!
(As our count slips away, so then does our summer.)

Days to Christmas Day: 149

And as can readily be ascertained by the first count number, we are now down to exactly ONE WEEK away from the 100-day Season Milestone and the start of a double-digit Season count!


Well, true summer-like conditions are still being held just at bay, but they are threatening to return at any time.
Today has begun at 77 degrees here in central North Carolina.

It's Wednesday and we're half way there...
I'm determined that today I will get at least half way through this new project today. Hopefully the phones won't be ringing off the hook and I can get lots of things done. But first the dreaded Wednesday morning staff meeting must take place. I really wish I didn't have to go - I'd much rather hang out with you guys this morning.

Good Wednesday (Pines Day!) morning, my Christmas friends!

After two days of customer care, I'm glad to back to my old routine. We spent the whole morning yesterday in the plant, and although I could work all day in the heat in my youth, not so much these days. Thank goodness for my desk!!

My mom called last night to say she's staying in the mountain a little longer. I don't blamer her! I would if I could, too!!

Elizabeth's summer play is this weekend, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She's been rehearsing every day now, so I haven't seen much of my family. I'm feeling a little out-of-touch. The show should be great, though!

Happy Pines, MMC!!! It's going to be a hot one here with a heat index near 110 later today. It already feels like it's in the 90's out there. We may see some storms this afternoon too. going to be a scorcher again today, after waiting so long for summer it is finally here. I was going to get some icecream from the truck, but not going to happen today...

Got bread rising on the counter, supper in the slow cooker. Have a meeting at 1pm. This evening going to look at a tent that someone has for sale on Kijiji, if it is good I will be buying it so I can join the family camping this weekend.
