Well, my day here at the office is winding down - just under an hour to go.

It's been a busy day! Lots of meetings and a webinar.

So even though we are still near the 90's, the start of Sept. officially starts the Christmas cd playing in my car for the rest of the season! Love it.

Merry Morning Christmas friends,

My son's first day back at school today. It is also my little one's first session at nursery. It will be just one hour for both of us. He starts properly from next Thursday doing 2 1/2 hours every day.

I noticed that Christmas 24 TV channel have announced their start date officially for Nov 01st! I can't wait!!

Good morning, mid-week Wanderers!

Crown is taking a much needed day off. Well, actually, he is moving his niece to Carlotte. Let's hope he has a safe and enjoyable trip! I have appointed myself your Countdown Caper for today.

The 'Ber months have arrived. It means a lot to Carl. The camel's smile is even bigger than usual. I'm not sure if it's because there are FIVE 'Pines Days in September, the cooling weather trends, the debut of the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year, or, perhaps another reason all together.

In celebration of September, Carl is offering a sample of pumpkin flavoured fired twinkies with the purchase of a glass of Sweet Tea at the Shispering Pines. Carl wants to ease into the Fall flavours. so that we can thoroughly enjoy them throughout this wonderful season.

Yesterday, we were five days away from single digits to the 100-day Christmas Day marker. And now, today, we are officially two weeks away from said milestone! What better way to celebrate than a 'Pines Day?

The daily numbers:
Days to the Season: 72
Days to Christmas Day: 114
Four days away from single digits... Two weeks until we meet 100!

If the Pumpkin Spice Fired Twinkies don't get you excited, Carl hopes that you enjoy the Fall colours at the 'Pines. I, for one, can get very used to these for the next month or so!

It may be September, but the humidity remains in Canada's Capital.
We have some fog patches to go along with the 19c/66f or 26c/77 with humidex!
Temperatures today are to reach 29c/84f or 38c/100f. Quite above seasonal.

I hope you all are ready to celebrate mid-week at the 'Pines! Carl has really been working hard at making the first September celebration a good one! I'm sure he won't disappoint. I am off to work now. I look forward to seeing you all tonight!

Hard to believe it's already halfway through the week--very exciting. I'm ready for the weekend, even if I have to spend it with my in-laws.

Listening to the cicadas outside my window and realizing they won't be making noise for much longer and our AC units can finally come out of our windows in just a short month! Our electric bill will thank us...lots of things to look forward to, but not wishing the time away. It'll go too quickly.

Today is going to be a long day for me. I've got two meetings at work on top of an already busy day. Then later tonight i have bible study, so I'll have to rush in freshen up and Lizzybeth and i will head back out so as to not be late.
If lasts week's bible study was an indication of what to expect then we won't be getting home till almost nine. I'll be eating late again this week, it's a good thing London makes dinner earlier for her and Lizzy so at least she's not hungry during service.

Happy Pines day!

My week got off to a rough start, and hasn't been the greatest since.
My father-in-law is back in the hospital, and they transferred him to Madison. It's a great hospital, so I'm hopeful about that. But it is also 3 1/2 hours away. I'm just worried about my family. On top of that, it's a busy week with meetings and appointments, etc. i'm just having a hard time focusing on other things, when I wish I could be with Adrian and Ken.

Not much going on around here today, just working some more on eBay postings.
Last night I cooked some salsa for canning. The house smelled so good. I didn't can it yet b/c I want to try it 1st to see if it needs anything!
Gracie goes to the beauty parlor at lunch today. And she's just looking so cute with her longer hair. My co-workers Mom passed away so we'll probably head to the funeral home tonight. Never look forward to that. I also should try to get to the grocery tonight. That's about it from me today!

Hi everyone, Happy Pines Day!
We were having internet connection issues again all morning, even with the new router. So frustrating! It's working again right now. My husband needs to get on the phone with our internet provider and figure out whats going on. We don't have time for this, my youngest has several online courses this semester. Not to mention all the cell phone data overage charges because the connection is so spotty. Grrr. Anyway, just wanted to pop in quick to say hello. I'm heading out soon with my middle daughter to do some clothes shopping, She accepted a position with Clinique, she starts tomorrow. She has to wear all black under her lab coat so she wants to pick up some new things. I'll be back at some point to catch up here. Keeping you all in my prayers. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Never too old for Disney! DH & I love Disney World more than DD does.
Leaving Friday after work to go camping for the weekend. We'll eat at Paula Deen's restaurant & go to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. Excited for the first UT football game of the season too! School is stressful for our little family of three, so we look forward to time away together.

Today I bought our tickets for the 12 Day of Christmas at night at the Arboretum. They will have the whole Arboretum lit up at night with the 12 Days of Christmas Gazebos spread about the property like they had last year. The regular sale of tickets are 20 bucks per adult. They have a discount early viewing in November for 5 bucks each (limited amount of tickets sold). We grabbed up some! We cannot wait!

I post about lighted Gazebos featuring the 12 Days of Christmas at the Arboretum then scroll up to see you posted a lit up Christmas Tree inside a gazebo! It reminds me of the gazebo they have honoring the 6th Day of Christmas, which happens to be my favorite one! It has a giant flocked Christmas Tree inside with 6 Geese a Laying.
