Hi all--happy Labor Day Evening--the last evening of (informal) summer. Watching the sun set on a wonderful season and opening up to new possibilities of fall! Here's my simple fall wreath. I'm not normally a crafty person, but I tried, and it doesn't matter if it's the most perfect wreath--it's ours! :)

Today was so busy at work, but one of those days that also was fulfilling. Chores now before bed. Prayers that you all have a great night.

Oh, well, back to work tomorrow for both of us. I have a couple days off later in the month to look forward to.

Updated my Christmas card list today, signed up for the card exchange, found I have more cards already than I thought I had, and even found a bunch of Christmas "Forever" stamps. Started to organize my shopping list. Oh, yeah, it's getting closer every day!

It's like that here too. The only place that I've found that will let me take photos is the local Hallmark shop as long as I tell them I'm taking photos of things I want for Christmas. Everyone is so nervous about privacy laws these days. Clearly my camera is aimed at ornaments and sometimes I wonder about taking shots of outdoor decorations and then I say to myself, "they've put them out for all to enjoy" so I consider it a compliment to snap a photo. My camera is so very noticable, if I use my cell phone, I guess it will appear less obvious. In one of my previous positions I use to have to go to competitors to scan their prices. I carried a handheld scanner and scanned upc codes. It was nerve wracking, and yes I was caught and kicked out a few times. I have a hard time taking pictures in stores because of that now.

We have been very busy the last few days, I didn't even have time to get here on Saturday. I have the next two days off due to the holiday. I am planning to go see Vacation tomorrow, all by my lonesome, every time I made plans to see it it fell through, so this is probably my last chance so I will go by myself to the movies since for the first time since 1997 when I saw The Lost World:Jurassic Park.
I am going to retire for the night, just can't keep my eyes open.

I want to see Vacation too, it looks funny. Hope you made it and enjoyed yourself. Hope everything else is well with you and your family.

When you think about it , it really is close. Makes sense to start organising. It goes so fast after all. The weeks will start flying by.
