Good Morning, friend~Good evening,
We are finally getting some much needed rain, my wife and I couldn't remember the last time we had a significant rainfall. It brought some cool weather with it too. We stand at 61*f right now! AAAAHHHHH!
I have made it as far as I could tonight, I will catch up tomorrow.
Goodnight, everyone.
Morning, 'Tis!Morning everyone and a Merry Friday.

Good Morning, Sam~Merry Friday all,
I hope that you all have a great start to the weekend and have some fun and relaxation planned over the next couple of days. It will be a quiet one for us just staying in and I will be working for part of it.
Enjoy your day. Thinking of you all today.

Well, we're going to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Oh I plan on keeping safe, I've got to be mindful no matter how excited I am that he's still a man I don't know. So, I'm making plans to meet him at the restaurant.
I will let you all know how it goes.
Congrats on the new flat. I hope you all love it!! Nice to see you!!! Stay cool!
Good to see you, welcome back!
The weather in my "North Enough to be Purfect" neck of the woods has been a bit warmer than usual, but we've had hotter temps and colder ones over the years so I haven't complained. We have extremely cold and long winters so we don't complain about the heat too much.
Candy corn is a popular treat usually found around Halloween that is yellow, orange and white in colour and resembles a kernel of corn and a space shuttle. It's mostly made up of sugar, corn syrpup and some sort of gelatin wax. (Not my cup of tea.)
Fruitcake is as you described it with dried fruit although it doesn't always contain raisins around here - I've tried 2 popular varieties and homemade ones and never enjoyed it.
Congratulations on your new accomodations; have you mapped out where you're going to display your Christmas tree yet when the time comes![]()
Good evening everyone. We had heavy rain today that caused flooding across the island. Flash floods caused drivers to abandon their cars all over the south shore, which is where I'm located. My husband and the girls all made it home safely. My poor husband had to work in the city today and it took him almost 4 hours to get there this morning and over three to get home this evening. More rain is expected tonight but it will be clearing out tomorrow. Temperatures will be a bit cooler the next couple of days too so that's good. I'm going to turn in, I'm very tired tonight. I hope everyone had a nice day, I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight!

Good morning, Cetacea~good mid-morning everyone!
I hope you all had a restful night. It is slightly cloudy here and the sky has this very light fall blue color, though the temps (66.3°) are still a bit high for September.
Yesterday I watched a special tv documentation about the acute refugee situation in Europe. It was on a german tv station and therefore focused on what is done in german for all the new refugees. My heart goes out to all those people, their situation is so bad and I think the public isn't as invested as they should be. Guess it still hasn't sunk in that we are privileged and should be thankful to be living in relative safe places.
My thoughts are with everyone who lost friends/family members at 09/11. I still remember where I was when I first heard what had happened (in a school room) and how shocked we all where. Even though New York is so far away from my country, everyone was just as affected as if we were living there.
On a positive side note: I spent to much money on the shipping of two DVD resp. Blu-ray seasons. Anyone remembers "Little House on the Prairie"? It's one of my favourite tv shows from my childhood. Now that they are releasing digital remastered dvds/blu-rays I have been buying the seasons as they are released. The rest of my family still watches the old german dvds, as they don't understand English well enough to watch it in the original language.
Now that the football season started I try to watch a couple seahawk games, though mostly I will only be able to watch the highlights. Can't wait for October, as then the NHL season will start (as far as I know) and I'll try to watch some of those games too. After watching the world championship this year, I took a liking to ice hockey. Ice hockey is also very big in Switzerland, but I have never watched it. That will change this season though. Our season starts tomorrow!
I hope your date went well. It's a safe decision to meet in a public restaurant.
By the way I think choosing the Cheesecake Factory is great. During my USA trip I visited one in San Francisco and loved it!
What a cutie! Congratulations!
Yes we love it very much! Even our two cats are in love with the flat (even more so with the very generous balcony).
We have a big living room now, so the there will be enough space for the tree. I guess the tree will be standing either next to the window front or next to our glass cabinet. We may even put up another tree outside on the balcony or at least some decoration like big laterns and santa clause ect.
Thank god your family made it home safe. How big is the damage done by the flooding?
Well, that's a mouth full.
Good morning, DYHWIH!!Good morning MMC-quick post as I run out the door for work only for a half day!!!
Day off was wonderful and day off tomorrow and Sunday has me feeling GREAT today. Weather is MUCH cooler outside and it's not done cooling off yet!! Next week is going to be much chillier...amazing. Looking forward to some good time on here this weekend and to cleaning, organizing, and getting ready for the fall season with friends coming over more often! Including tonight probably!
Have a wonderful day!!!
Thanks, Crown!Good Morning, Weekend Eve Dwellers!
And while you're at it, dwell on this:
Days to the Season: 63
Days to Christmas Day: 105
Next, cogitate the meaning and significance of the 2nd number.
You will find it reveals that we are but FIVE short days away from the 100-day Christmas Day Window and the start of a dual, double-digit count.
Which in turn, of course, means that we are closer to Christmas Season 2015 than you might have thought!
A bit cooler yesterday, especially in the evening after a late day rain.
Should be clear today but then, unfortunately, rainy for Saturday, the day we are driving to Charlotte to see my niece.
We show 72 rather damp degrees here in the capital city at this hour.
Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
{ Hey! Any takers to do the count Sunday morning? }
