Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had my procedure yesterday. I'm glad that's "behind" me! I got a great report, and was told to come back in 10 years. Nice! Nancy and I ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel afterwards, and the browsing area is FULL of Fall and Christmas stuff. I loved it!

It's rainy and cool here today. I'll live with the rainy, as long as we get the cool. It's still humid, but hopefully that'll clear up in the next few weeks.

I had it last week with good results but since my mom had colon cancer, I have to go every 5 yrs.
Hoping we get some cooler weather here. It has been much too warm. Looking forward to our first frost.

It has been much too warm! We are still reaching near 80° and fluctuating in between 75% and 100% humidity. Crazy weather!

YES, thanks for asking! Plus my supervisor quietly gave me two days off in October (not counted as vacation days). So happy about that!

I'll be thinking of you if I get a cup of tea later this afternoon.

Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday!
I'm heading out in a little bit, I'm going to take my youngest to the Apple store to pick something up. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. Not too much else going on. It's going to be sunny and warm today with a high of around 80 degrees. No cool weather yet but I'm already craving hearty comfort foods, tonight I'm making chicken pot pie. Love those warm and cozy Fall dishes!

I get my day off tomorrow. My plan is to do some DJ work for Kringle Radio, if no one in the neighborhood is mowing their lawn or blowing leaves. And relax and get some early Christmas vibe on!

I got a surprise yesterday that made my day. My supervisor quietly gave me two days off in October that won't be charged as vacation days. They're compensation for the heavy workload and long hours in the past few weeks. I was so elated, I couldn't think straight for about ten minutes---I was so giddy thinking about what I could do with some time off!

Thanks! It feels so good. I work so hard during the week and often at least one extra day...time off is just so important. Sounds like an AWESOME way to spend your day off! Thankful your boss gave you that extra time off--you need it!!!

I'm beginning to crave cinnamon and spice for fall. I wanted to buy cinnamon sugar while I was at the supermarket yesterday, and there was none! So I bought a big shaker and I'll just make my own.

I'm breaking out the crockpot Merry--it's time! I want cinnamon and spice as well. Delish!!!

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!! It's another gorgeous day! We started out at 52º heading to 82º! Nothing but sunshine!!! Love it!

After work yesterday my friend & I went for a walk...then we sat on our patio after. Then her hubby came with their dog (Gracie had a blast) ... then their son showed up. Then our neighbor walked over with her Grandbaby...then her friend showed up! Love those spur of the moment patio parties! We ended up firing up the patio heater & sitting out there til after 9:00 last night. Our nights like that are numbered so we made sure to enjoy it! My hubby came home from the fields about 5 minutes after everyone left. Go figure!!

It has been a pretty good day. Afternoon is getting long at work, but the rest of the day was pretty nice! I think it was just hard to come back after lunch on such a beautiful day!
It was fun last night. Like I said - we have to enjoy this beautiful weather while we can!!!

I have never heard of that! I bet it is Cinful!!! I remember when I was little I would go to my cousins house & her Mom (my aunt, my moms sister) made THE BEST cinnamon toast!! She would make them in the toaster oven (she had 14 kids ) - she would put just the right amount (a lot) of a mixture of butter, cinnamon, sugar & brown sugar on them. I can still taste them. Mmmmmm (thanks for the good memory )

I saw a recipe on the Web that called for smooshing together softened butter, cinnamon, sugar, and a little vanilla and/or nutmeg into a spread---spreading bread liberally with it---baking at 350F for 10 minutes---then finishing under the broiler to add a little "crust." Sounds heavenly ...
