Guess what, on my way into the house, I stepped over a Northern Ringneck Snake. Little guy, about 10 inches long. Kinda a chilly for him to be out and about, I guess he was either looking for food or a warm bed.... Here's a link if you want to see more info on this kind of snake~

Awesome your vacation was approved for after Christmas! I just put my name on the calendar yesterday to be off that week too!
Whenever you start talking about your busy season starting soon, it makes the holidays feel SO close!!! Sorry it's a rough time on you though!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had my procedure yesterday. I'm glad that's "behind" me! I got a great report, and was told to come back in 10 years. Nice! Nancy and I ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel afterwards, and the browsing area is FULL of Fall and Christmas stuff. I loved it!

It's rainy and cool here today. I'll live with the rainy, as long as we get the cool. It's still humid, but hopefully that'll clear up in the next few weeks.

Thank you buddy... Sore still, but better, the super hot soak in the tub really helped to loosen up my muscles last night. Can you believe that one of those 2 gals that hit me filed a claim against my insurance company. I had to get on the phone first thing this morning and say "Whoa....hold up just a bit, I was the locomotive, not the caboose, you all got it bass ackwards"!!!!! One hit my left rear and the other hit my right rear...and I'm starting to feel like the stinky in the middle.....Get it right now....

Another slow day at work, lots got done again. It was open house night at LC's school tonight so we went there and got to see all his teachers and his work. he is doing well nearly one month into the school year.
I was told that the egg nog will be in store next week, I don't like it myself but I love seeing it in store.
Time for some shuteye.

Another slow day at work, lots got done again. It was open house night at LC's school tonight so we went there and got to see all his teachers and his work. he is doing well nearly one month into the school year.
I was told that the egg nog will be in store next week, I don't like it myself but I love seeing it in store.
Time for some shuteye.

I used to drink a little bit of it in the past with some Captain Morgan spiced Rum in it, but I only drink the unleaded type now-a-days...Its, good-good-good!!!

It is going to be a good season this year, I did a risky move over the last month and re-trained all my employees slowly by introducing more and more daily tasks for all of them, It has worked. My area has never run better and I have employees doing a lot more now than in the past, and I am actually managing the area instead taking on everything myself.

Well done! That sounds like good management to me!

All this talk about baking is making me hungry!

Elizabeth has taken up baking from my mom. She bakes three loaves of fresh bread every week, using a starter my mom gave her that she has to "feed" once a week. She uses a portion of the starter with some bread flour, kneading the dough, letting it rise overnight...the whole 9 yards. I had it at lunch today, and it's out of this world!

I bet it was! I love fresh bread!
