Christmas Countdown - 2015

Afternoon,
It is a gorgeous day here and set to be like this all week. The temps are really pleasant and practically summer like (our summer )

On our way from the city last night, the moon was an extraordinary sight! Mesmerising! It had us all in awe, so much that we failed to notice our car was smoking !!!

Just got the quote from the mechanic! Someone hit me over the head so I can wake up in a Snowglobe and escape all these 'surprise' expenses that just keep on coming!!!

Well a hundred things to get done today and already falling behind so must dash!

Oh by the way anyone else curious about NASA's big announcement later??

I know what you mean. When I went to lunch on Friday, my truck wouldn't crank. A co-worked jumped me off, and I went to my brother's shop. Completely dead battery. $115 later I'm cranking again, but I wanted to spend that money on the Camaro!

It was overcast and rainy all day and night yesterday. I t doesn't really matter. I'm not enough of a night-owl to wait till 1am to see the moon. LOL

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday!!! My hubby got the day off work today - lucky duck!! So far it's cloudy & dark'ish looking outside. It's not supposed to rain today but it looks like it could. We started out at 62º this morning, heading to 83º! The weather has been so amazing!!

It's supposed to be in the low 80's today, too, and the humidity is through the roof, but it's supposed to be in the low 70's be the weekend. Yess!!

Good morning! well, today is the day. My grandfather is moving in with us today. I'll be heading down there soon to get the remaining things packed up, freezers and refrig un-packed before the moving van shows up there today at 9:30ish. I'm hoping that things go well, but no guarantee, fingers crossed. I'll be pretty busy today, so I don't know when I will get a chance to get back here today, maybe tonight....

Good Morning, MMC! Happy last week of September! I cannot believe at all that by the end of the work week, we'll be in October. Wow. September has absolutely flown by! I'm thrilled for October to be here...it will really start to feel like fall for me then. The weather is finally turning cooler--today's high is 80, but the rest of the extended forecast is not out of the 70s and lows even in the low 50s to upper 40s at times. Bring on the leaves changing!

We had a great weekend-my husband's birthday, and yesterday we went to see a cycling race! It was AWESOME.

This week looks pretty good at work. Feeling positive this morning! Hoping I can get the administrative work I need to get done today finished--I've tired the last two weeks but things have come up each time that I've had to take care of. It's good to feel positive on a Monday-I haven't been feeling that way at all recently! Have a GREAT day, all!

I don't know where you are, but with temps in the 40's I might plan a visit!

Merry Monday!

We have quite an exciting week ahead as September ends and we welcome wonderful October. The days are getting crisper, the leaves are turning and falling and Halloween is in the air.

In my head I can almost hear the faint ringing of bells and on the morning of October 01st these will be at their loudest. It's like my inner Christmas clock sounds an alarm for me to start getting ready for the approaching season! Some will say this is crazy, it's too early! I say it's my pre season to the season!!

Nothing crazy about a pre-season to the season. On my desk I have my Mulled Cider candle burning, and right beside it is my Hot Cinnamon candle that I sniff on occasion. Boy, that takes me straight to Christmas!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Boy, it's a yucky, humid morning! I work in an office trailer outside the main office, and it's obviously not as airtight as it should be. Everything is a little sticky in here. Blech.

I got Jacob's hunting plot planted yesterday, and it looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. I put the camera on a tree, too. Now I need to go back with some corn and a mineral block and put them in front of the camera to see how many pictures I can get. I swear, I'd rather get a good picture of a huge buck, than to bag the real thing LOL.

We have a high of 75 tomorrow, 70 Wednesday & then it's in the 60's the rest of the week, lows in the 40's - going back to 70 next Tuesday! (that is if they don't change it...again!) Enjoy the cooler weather!

A dreary Monday morning will make you have the blues if you let it but this time of year it just feels like the anticipation of the holidays coming overrides them.
Oh yeah, this is the first year my office decided to close Christmas through New Years. I will be off for 11 days which is the longest vacation I've had for the holidays since 2007. I always take off Xmas Eve...because well duh...it's Xmas Eve and for me at least that's the biggest day of the year by far and I've never ever worked that day. But usually I go back a few days after Christmas to work a few days and then have another long weekend for New Years. But this year...11 days...Dec 23 I will leave early and not return to work till Jan 4th.
Hope everyone's Monday is going ok...

I was hoping it was the alternator. Something under the hood has been whining for a while, and if replacing the alternator fixed the sound and the weak battery, super! Alas, Jim said the alternator is working perfectly. Oh well.

Wow! 11 days off during the holidays is great! I'm doing that, too, but I have to save up my vacation time to do it. Going up to Mgramsey's neck of the woods!
