It's warm here today and tomorrow, but then it's back to seasonal weather! I'm using today and tomorrow to wear my favorite summer outfits, knowing they'll be put away until next year likely this week.

You're right about slowing time down--let's enjoy each day as it comes!

Thanks Brad... No serious man thank you...I needed to hear that after just being cussed out by one of my brothers for moving my grandfather with telling him the exact day. The exact day... I told him last year 4 x's, this year 3x's and my grandfather just told his wife last week that he was moving this week or next... I was trying to avoid the drama with all these different family members being there, someone saying I want this or I deserve that, etc... I didn't want it to be more harder than it was for him to leave a house that he started to build himself in 1939. I hired a moving company and in three hours, it was done. His house was packed up. I wanted it done in peace...and that's what I did. And what happened, just what I thought would happen someone would be a drama queen.....

So from the bottom of my heart, thanks man....I needed that~

That's tough. It's a shame, but I've seen some local families fall-out completely over things that they felt they deserved more than the other family members. I'm sorry you have to deal with that, but you still did the right thing.

I got a call from Adrian yesterday that his truck had to be towed to the shop. I guess it's worse than we thought. So, he's without a vehicle for a bit, hopefully not too long.
And more unexpected bills came in the mail. It was a case of the Mondays!!

Good morning everyone. Well we are on to Tuesday and it's a warm morning here in NY. Probably the last mild morning we'll have till next year or so. Although, ironically last Christmas morning was about 60 degrees when I woke up (granted the temp dropped the entire day and it felt more like Christmas by the end of the day). It was still surreal that when I went for my morning run I came home sweated on Christmas and had to shower to cool off as if it was a July morning. Hoping Christmas this year is more normal (wouldn't mind a snowstorm either but can't be greedy).
Anyway, Tuesday isn't so bad. It's a little better than Monday and as I saw someone mention on this thread from last night soon we'll be begging for the time to SLOW DOWN so let's not rush these last couple of days of September. Time goes fast enough so no need to rush it.
Hope everyone has a great day. And if you can't tell from my continuous posting yesterday it feels great to be back on this site...I really missed it and I'm really grateful to be back on here full-time.

I am exhausted emotionally and physically these days. We got the car back yesterday which was pretty quick. We were glad about that.

I have my youngest's birthday next week and I am trying to organise for it in the middle of everything else. I left it a bit late haven't I!

Soon, we will be entering the HOME STRETCH to Christmas Season 2015, with that point now being a scant 8 days away.
One week from tomorrow!

Our numbers:
Days to the Season: 45
Days to Christmas Day: 87

Just doesn't seem possible, does it, that we are nearly NINETY PERCENT of the way back to our long-awaited and dearly coveted Christmas Season.


Rain, rain and more rain.
Are we going to wash away -- or just dissolve?
Only time will tell, as more precipitation is expected each day for the rest of the week.

Right now, our dripping thermometer records a surprisingly warm 83 degrees here in the capital city.

Good morning, MMC! Happy Tuesday!

I agree with lots of folks on here this morning...it'd be easy to want to rush into October, but I felt like September absolutely flew by! I'm going to start being really intentional with my time so that I enjoy each minute of it for the upcoming three months--my favorite of the year.

A typical day of work at my slow job today! Nothing major to report, which is good. We've got highs in the 80s today and tomorrow, and then it's back to seasonal 60s and 70s. I'm using today to wear my favorite summer outfits--if it's going to be humid and warm, I'm going to wear a knee length skirt and flip flops while I still can!!

If you find a way to slow things down, please let me know! I wait all year for this time of year to come, then I can't enjoy it for worrying about it passing too quickly LOL!

[Holiday]

Well Monday work is about to end for me. Any Christmas shows on t.v. tonight? I guess I'm jumping the gun just a little . I'm looking forward to watching a bunch of Halloween shows in October first.

I'm just looking now to see if there is any Christmas on tv today! Doesn't look like there's much on today!

Been working hard most of the day on Kringle Radio programming for Santa Tracking (I had the day off) ... I have one hour finished and am near-finished a second hour. I'm achy from working over the computer all day! I hope the effort will be worthwhile! Got a couple other little things done as well. Must relax some tonight before heading back to the office tomorrow.

Good evening everyone. What a busy day. Just winding down. My eyes are heavy already, didn't sleep well last night. Maggie's cough has been very bad so I was up with her. Hoping tonight is better, we'll see. The cough suppressant doesn't seem to be helping so I made an appointment with a holistic veterinarian. Maybe they will have a different approach that will help. Thursday was the soonest I could get her in, I'm looking forward the appointment. I'm going to sign off a little bit early. Hope everyone had a great day. Enjoy the rest of the evening. I'll see you in the morning. Keeping you all in my prayers. Goodnight!

Well, very successful day overall. I have successfully moved my grandfather in to our home and he is now snug and asleep in his bed. We spent all day, I mean all day doing the un-packing, moving furniture around till we found the right spot, hooking things up, trying to find the "what did I do with that" stuff and Lisa started washing all his clothes, bed clothes (blankets, pillows, sheets) and we washed, cleaned every piece of furniture. Tomorrow, another trip to the dump, more un-packing, hooking up his telephone, cable and all other kinds of things....
Well, goodnight all, I'm exhausted 2x's over.... Good night~

Well for a Monday it wasn't so bad. I definitely notice how tired I feel compared to the rest of the week. I think having those 2 days off on the weekend makes us all a little lazy (even if we aren't lazy during the weekend). It throws me off a little so I get home and I'm tired on Mondays yet I usually feel each day through the week I gain more energy...so here's hoping to Tuesday doing that a little more than Monday.

This month is a bit slower than the rest. But soon I will want the time to slow down, some are never happy lol. Have a great week everyone

I've been working on some chores around the house, just relaxing now for a couple of minutes with a cup of coffee. I'm going to head out in a little bit to get my errands over with, I have to get a few things at the supermarket. I also have to stop at the veterinarian to pick up copies of Maggie's most recent test results to show the holistic veterinarian on Thursday. I have to squeeze a workout in at some point too, if I can find the energy. I really need to catch up on some sleep!

Yes but in Jan and Feb we may be wishing for that warm weather! Hope this winter will not be anything like the last 2. But it's nice for the fall weather to arrive. We need the rain and it looks like we're getting it this week.
