Good Afternoon, MMC!
Hope your first day of October is going well.
Thoughts & prayers for all~

Good morning, everyone!

Happy October! We're now in the final full month before we officially reach the Christmas Season! Fantastic.

It has been a busy week. I worked at Passport on Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday, I was at Russell. I'm back teaching today and tomorrow, too! It seems as if the gym and a few other activities have taken my time.

Although I am quite excited to increase my Blossoms contributions this weekend, I don't think I will have the opportunity. Kim will be heading home on Saturday, thus taking the car. All of your contributions will have to tie me over until I can get out again.

I hope you're all enjoying your first day of October. It was a chilly start this morning. Temperatures were barely above freezing with the windchill. Simon was even a little chilly as he sat in the window for his morning viewing before we head to work. The leaves are also starting to change, too. I'm sure they will be in full folliage for (Canadian) Thanksgiving next weekend.

Have a great Thursday, everyone! The weekend is about a workday and a half away!

My favorite is still "The Devil Bat" ... Bela Lugosi gives out samples of a new shaving lotion that he invented that is "very soothing on the tender skin of your neck" ... he gives it to people he has a grudge against ... then trains giant vampire bats to attack people wearing that unique scent ... there's some sly humor in it.
I'll have to look for that one, thanks!

I like a lot of the old black & white movies. I watch them on my break LOL. Creature From the Black Lagoon is a favorite.

But I also love new stuff, too. I watch The Conjuring every month!

Edited to add:
The Wolfman
IT Came from Outer Space
Frankenstein

Wow, too many to list!

Ahh yeah did you like the Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein? I remember my brother loved that movie when we were kids. I also like the actual Frankenstein original movie too though.

Good October morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been a long morning. Nancy's mom (who spent several months in the hospital getting over a bad fall and heart trouble) fell last night about 2:30 am while trying to get to the bathroom. Bernie couldn't get her up, so he called us. She wasn't seriously hurt, but she still has major mobility issues, so she couldn't get herself up. It took some time, but we got her on her feet, and she was better then. I couldn't go back to sleep when I got home, though.

AND I'M OUT OF COFFEE AT WORK!!! AHHHH!

Other than that, everything is lovely around here. o_O

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Hope Nancy's mom feels better.
Oh I'd flip if I didn't have coffee. Do you guys have Dunkin Donuts around you? I almost live there.

I know I can't believe we are welcoming the season next month!
Yeah it's crazy. I feel like it was just New Years Day.

How's teaching Brent? I'm actually back in school taking some math courses in preparation to possibly go for a Masters degree in Math-Education. Thinking I may want to do that as my 2nd career some day.

Happy October, Brent!
Stay warm, friend!
It was in the mid 30's here this morning, too. That practically happened overnight!
Enjoy your time at Russell, and have a wonderful rest of the week.

Happy October 01st! So much to look forward to. Hope you enjoy your weekend. I can't believe it is almost your Thanksgiving!! How exciting!

Seems like around much of the eastern half of the country as soon as October arrived everyone got chilly. Tis the season for it.
Yes it's usually pretty chilly in October for us, even colder since we've moved farther north!
The end of our summer was unseasonably warm for us, so this feels really strange to be happening so quickly.
But, I love it! This is my favorite time of the year.

Mine too. It's nice and cool but not too cold (yet). Makes you realize the holidays are coming. I hope this weather lasts in to winter though lol. Don't want a 3rd straight bad winter. The last 2 were pretty bad here southern NY state.

Here, too. Wicked cold! Fingers crossed for a more typical winter for us all.

That sounds like it would be awesome. Teaching here is pretty decent, even as a substitute. I would highly recommend it, especially as a second career and there is a need for teachers in your area. Although it took me a little bit of time to understand how to instruct and make sure they know how to do their work, the students here are at least pretty good.

Happy October 01st! So much to look forward to. Hope you enjoy your weekend. I can't believe it is almost your Thanksgiving!! How exciting!

Thanks, FS! It is very exciting. I can't wait to have all the delicious fixings next weekend.

Thanks! I don't have a problem staying warm during the day, at night is a different story... It's difficult when you have Kim and Simon stealing all the blankets!

Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your week, too!
