I am organising my halloween decorations. This little figure was a gift from Mr Festive. He hand painted her and the pumpkin himself.

You have probably already tried this bu have you tried grinding the pill into small bits or powder. Or if it's a capsule - empty the powder out onto her tongue or into something she may eat? Hold her head gently upward and massage her throat , this should cause her to swallow. Sorry if it you've already tried, just trying to think of someway to help. Used to do this with my cats and dogs.

I know Lulu gets mad at me, but I push the pills down her throat with my finger. It's yucky, but it's quick and it gets the job done!

Yeah that sucks...and it's interesting how fussy Harlowe is about eating. If Nitro ever didn't want to eat I think I'd worry because that's the way he is. You can bribe him with food if it's anything he likes. Guess just like me.

Nitro sounds like a cutie.
She's a social eater. She'll eat more when other dogs are around, or when we have company at the house. Otherwise, she'll take food or leave it, eating when she feels like it. She's a silly girl. Even when the vet had me feeding her boiled chicken & rice, or hamburger & rice, she wasn't always interested.

Oh, no. She's the master at separating the pill from the treat, then spitting out the pill.

Thanks for the prayers! In the past few years, she's been good with peanut butter, and her meds, so I'm not sure what's different this time.

Maggie is as finicky as Harlowe, she turns her nose up to everything too. Sometimes we have luck with the pill pockets. But like I've mentioned before, we have to do cartwheels to get her to eat them. I could barely put ear drops in Maggie a couple of weeks ago. I had to sneak up on her when she was sleeping and she still tried to bite my fingers off.
I guess it's my fault for spoiling her all of these years.

Maybe I should get Victor the Wonder Pup to speak to Maggie....he eats anything that even looks like food.

Evening all ,
How is your day going? Haven't quite kept up with all posts today so hope everyone is well.

We just got word that my husband's grandmother (his dad's mum) is in her final days. Marie, or Gran as he calls her is in her 90s and ill with stomach cancer. She is not doing too good and they've said it wont be long now. It's her time.
