I haven't seen or heard from dawg, unfortunately.Hey I was just wondering. I know I don't always keep up on here but have we heard from Gabulldawg and Seawaters lately? Hope all is well with them.
You haven't missed it at all. It's today! Thank you for your wishes!Sorry I missed your anniversary, but you're right - you and Mr. are a classic case of a couple who were truly mean to be! Happy Anniversary!!!
Hope all works out for you with your car - I'll be praying for you!
Thank you! Got back home safely! More on that in a bit.Good luck! Be safe.
Thank you, that's very kind.I hope they are as well. Your too much of a sweet person to have bad things happen to.![]()
Over here we get various "special edition" flavors---peanut butter creme, for instance, or lemon creme between golden Oreos. I believe they have a pumpkin spice creme currently, and we had some with toasted coconut creme between golden Oreos. Do you get the variations over there too, or just the basic Oreos?I'm not a big biscuit/cookie eater but I do LOVE Oreos. I recently tried the golden oreos- very nice especially with a tea or coffee.
Very very merry indeed! The year we were married, Columbus Day fell on that day---just the right time to embark on a new endeavor! I hope your hubs is feeling better soon so you can celebrate some more.We celebrate our anniversaries on the same day - wow - how merry is that - very!![]()
Great anniversary gifts!I had that signal on my car off and on for a month and it wound up being somehow related to my car keys and not the engine at all. Once the dealer reset my keys, it never happened again.
I got Eggnog for my anniversary and a pair of Nike shoes.![]()
I know what you mean about wishing Harlowe could talk. But dogs do talk...in their own way as I'm sure you know. Thanks, Sam!
Har is doing okay, played some this morning & drank some water. Did well on her walk.
But hasn't eaten yet, and her stomach seems to be troubling her. Not sure if it's because she hasn't eaten, or she hasn't eaten because her stomach is upset. Wish she could talk!
Thanks for thinking of her~
Hope you are resting up, and enjoying a quiet day!
Yeah plus you enjoy it more that way. I've had weeks years ago where I'd eat all bad food during the week and then I got to the weekend and I didn't really feel like eating any pizza or anything. That's what I do, too. Another reason why weekends are so wonderful!
All this OREO talk is gonna drive us crazy right Brad? Good thing you can still have your oreos on Sunday...Over here we get various "special edition" flavors---peanut butter creme, for instance, or lemon creme between golden Oreos. I believe they have a pumpkin spice creme currently, and we had some with toasted coconut creme between golden Oreos. Do you get the variations over there too, or just the basic Oreos?
Good evening, friend!Hello Christmas Friends
Glad to hear it!Thank you! Got back home safely! More on that in a bit.
Thank you, that's very kind.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time away!! Happy for you & Mr., Merry! Now it can be told---we spent Thursday and yesterday in Vermont, and headed back home this morning. We got home about an hour ago. The agency where I work had booked rooms for an offsite meeting at a great inn in Woodstock, but the agency was so busy in August that the offsite had to be canceled, so the agency had the bookings on their hands. They negotiated with the inn to make re-booking the dates flexible, and held a drawing for several two-night stays. I won one, and that's where we've been. (I don't like to tell on a public forum when we will be away ... you never know who might read it and figure out it's a good time to burgle the house.)
The drive up on Thursday was gorgeous and sunny, and the traffic was fairly light once we got out of Massachusetts. Many of the trees are still green, but there were beautiful vistas in New Hampshire and Vermont of hills covered with green, liberally splashed with vivid red and yellow and orange, as though the colors were airbrushed in over the green. I couldn't take photos because I was on the highway! We settled in at the inn in a big, beautiful room (thank you, workplace!) and strolled around Woodstock looking into gift shops and such. We LOVED a general store called Gillingham's ... they had everything from handmade pottery to whoopee cushions to groceries. The inn had tons of attractions and activities nearby, but with only one full day there, we mostly just hung out and relaxed and strolled around and figured out when and where we would eat our next meal! The inn had a lovely "library," a cozy room lined with bookshelves of old books, and with two sofas and a chair facing a coffee table with an undone jigsaw puzzle on it, and a table with backgammon laid out on it, another table with a chessboard laid out on it, and a fireplace. If we'd had more time, I could have spent an afternoon there reading and sipping tea. They also had a nice sunroom where they served tea and cookies in the afternoon, and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the mornings. A big fireplace in the lobby.
It was dark and rainy all day yesterday, so we just relaxed indoors and read and played some Quiddler. Late yesterday we came back from a short drive and my "check engine" light came on, which made me anxious because I wasn't sure whether we were safe for a three-hour drive home. I called a local dealership that was just closing, and they assured me I would have no trouble as long as the light wasn't blinking. I worried all night and all morning anyway, but the drive home was quick and easy. It was kind of murky in Vermont, but the sun came out while we were on the road, and the sky here at home is a brilliant blue (and there's a frost advisory for tonight, first one of the season). We stopped for some lunch not far from home, and we're just checking e-mails and posts and getting settled back in. Monday my office is closed, so we still have a three-day weekend to spend at home and celebrate. I'm looking forward to getting a good cup of tea! I'm never satisfied with tea away from home.
Thinking of everyone and hoping you get over your sore throats and bugs soon, those who have them. And Sugar, congratulations on the new opportunity!
Yes, we have our own languageI know what you mean about wishing Harlowe could talk. But dogs do talk...in their own way as I'm sure you know.
Glad you had such a fabulous time this afternoon! Enjoy the rest of your weekend~Wound up spending over 2 hours with my friend at the park. We walked along the water. It almost felt like we were still in summer. The sun was beating down on us...not much of a breeze so it didn't feel too cold. Very nice day...and supposed to be even nicer on Sunday and Monday. Unfortunately, I do work Monday...but fortunately I'm off the following Monday so I have that to look forward to all week. Nevertheless plenty of weekend left to go...must enjoy it.
Hi Snowflake xGood evening, friend!
