Good Morning, Center-of-the-Weekers.

Now, let's center our attention on today's numbers and absorb their message:
Days to Halloween: 17 (Under 2 1/2 weeks left!)
Days to the Season: 30 (LESS THAN ONE MONTH REMAINS!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 72 (Closing in on 10 weeks!)

The days are passing quickly.
Indeed they are.


Well, we remained rain free yesterday despite a few threatening clouds and now the weather service says we are in for a dry rest of the week with moderate temps.
(Fall can be good here in NC!)
Currently, we show 58 degrees on our thermometer.


Well, I hope to see many of you at the 'Pines this evening.
Rumor has it that Carl is already into the process of working up a special Halloween open house in two weeks when we reach the last Wednesday in October. I'm sure none of us want to miss that one!

So we aren't the only ones left in the "2 week" crowd, huh?

I used to work at a jewish company and had 15 paid holidays a year...the trade-off was I was making significantly less money there than I am here. They also gave us 3 weeks of vacation AND 3 weeks of sick...although I never used the sick time.

What a bummer you won't be closed between the holidays, but I guess working a day or 2 won't be so bad. Good luck with deciding! Have a great day!!! 2 + more days & then it will be 3 day weekend time for you!

Thanks have a great day Holiday. And yeah it's semi-disappointing but I am used to working a day or 2 in between...and I get to save a PTO day or 2 that way.

We have been in the mid 90's for the past several days. At work on Sunday it was 95 degrees and our AC was out - fun! Where is fall? This weekend will drop down to the lower 80's and I hope it keeps on dropping!

We have been in the mid 90's for the past several days. At work on Sunday it was 95 degrees and our AC was out - fun! Where is fall? This weekend will drop down to the lower 80's and I hope it keeps on dropping!

Wow 95 in mid-October. What's normal temps for you guys this time of year?

Octobers are strange here in Texas. Very unpredictable from day to day or week to week. One week nice and cool, the next highs in the 90's then back to being cool. Let's put it this way, on Halloween one year it can be freezing with the kids wearing coats the next year everyone burning up hot and wearing shorts. So I guess you could say this is a normal October for us! Lol!

Octobers are strange here in Texas. Very unpredictable from day to day or week to week. One week nice and cool, the next highs in the 90's then back to being cool. At work they are talking about the Christmas party. They really do a nice one every year at this fancy restaurant place. They do a presentation and everything and give us a bonus check. I feel like we were just at last year's. Time goes so fast.
