Caught up yet again, I got to stop getting so far behind.
Day off was good, could have used more downtime though. Two more days until a weekend off, we are planning to head up to Yankee Candle on Saturday for our annual fall trip for Macintosh for me, something pumpkin for the wife, and our Christmas scents. Can't believe it is already that time.
They are also talking about some snowflakes flitting about on Sunday, I can't wait.
Finally watched our first Halloween DVD tonight, Good ol' It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Time for some sleep now.

Sounds like fall/holiday heaven, xmas!!! Love that so much! I'll be watching that show next week when it comes on ABC!

Happy Thursday. The weather here is improving. Looking at the 10 day forecast, today is the last day with temps in the 70s. After that highs in the mid 60s, lows in the 30s with frost this weekend. Finally some fall weather.
Tomorrow our son comes home for 4 days on fall break. We have been waiting for him to come home to watch the 4th season of Longmire on Netflix. We will do some binge watching and see the whole season in a couple of nights, with no commercials. Also plan to sit by the fire pit grilling hotdogs and marshmallows in the evenings. Should be some good family time.

Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday!
I just ordered a doggy stroller for Maggie, I'm so excited. I haven't been able to walk her because she can't tolerate the exercise with the collapsing trachea. I can't wait to talk her for walks again!
I'm heading out soon, I have a list of things that we need from Target. Back home afterward to exercise and work on some chores around the house. I'm making beef stew for dinner tonight, I've been craving it.

Good Morning Friends! I hope all of you are having a good week! I'm glad the weekend is almost here! We're going to our annual Fall outing this Sunday with potluck dinner and hayride, I can't wait! I sure do hate those times. Snowflake and I have started a support group as we are all in the same boat! Unexpected costs all at the same time! Grrrr! It feels overwhelming especially with Christmas coming. Grateful for the things that are going well though - just need to remind ourselves of those in times like these.

Fingers crossed that our luck changes.

Definitely need that support group, if you have room for another member!

The new water heater was installed Tuesday. Last night: No hot water. This morning: No hot water. Later today: They're coming to fix it, and we'd darn well better have hot water tonight! I washed up in the bathroom sink this morning with hot water from the teakettle.

Last night I took Mom to Walmart - she only wanted to stay 30 minutes (originally she said 20...) - I had a big list & stuff on nearly every end of the store!! Needless to say, I didn't get a chance to check out the Christmas. But we did stop at Ben Franklin so I snapped a few pics quick, I'll post in the Blossoms thread!

Days to Halloween: 16 (Two weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 29 (Down into the 20's!)
Days to Christmas Day: 71 (Ten weeks from tomorrow!)

Closing in.
Yep.
We are really closing in.


Clear, calm, sunny and dry yesterday. Moderate temps, too.
(We really appreciate the few days in the fall and spring when it's really nice like this.)
Today has commenced at 53 degrees here in the capital city.

Merry Thursday! Hope everyone is doing well.
My son had a very good birthday yesterday. Thanks again for all the well wishes.
As we were driving around yesterday, I noticed a drastic increase in leaf-fall and colour. It was beautiful and it seemed so sudden compared to early last week.

My head feels stuffy and I have either another cold or still haven't got over that last one. I'm not sure. I feel fine mostly though.

Well I better get some things done. It's almost like boxing day after a birthday Can't believe his birthday has come and gone. Next up Halloween !!

Wwonderful news about your son's birthday and leaf color!! We had that a little bit last week and it's just going to keep happening! I'm sorry you're not feeling well though. Hope you will feel better soon! And yes-next up, Halloween!!! Can't wait!

Good Thursday Morning MMC. We currently have 43 degrees in the suburbs of NY. We are expecting a high temperature of 63 degrees with mostly sunny skies. More October beautiful weather.
Another Thursday is here. That means another glorious Friday can't be far behind. I'm definitely feeling good about my 85 on my Calculus exam so that's kind of given me extra motivation to get myself to work harder at it instead of feel like giving up on it. Can you believe that 6 weeks from today will be Thanksgiving? That's just hard for me to fathom. 2 weeks from this weekend is Halloween. And of course halfway in between those 2 is...the Christmas season! Crazy...there's really not that much more time to get ready for it. Anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend?

Y'all are in our prayers. How is your FIL?

He has been doing pretty well. Last week was a good week for him.
When he first got out of the hospital, we were very concerned.
Each day there are new challenges, but with prayer and caring family/friends checking in, he's finding his own way again.
He was asked to speak at a school a few hours away, and so he attended that on his own, and felt productive and really enjoyed his time there.
