Christmas Countdown - 2015

My Christmas Tree is set up! (sorta)! My grandson and I were re-arranging some furniture to be prepared to set up the tree by the first week of November. Yep, I do set it up that early every year! When I cleared the space out I wanted to make sure I made enough room for it since it's a new tree. I set it up and it fits well and looks great. Now I am too tired to take it down right now! I plan to take it down tomorrow but my son and hubby thinks we should just keep it up since we will be dragging it back out in 13 days. You know, my uncle put his Christmas Tree up in October one year! He has been my hero ever since! Ha ha! Hmmm... decisions, decisions!

I think you should listen to your hubby & son - and I like your idea of a Halloween tree, for a couple weeks anyway!

I wish I could say I was, but still in a lot of pain. going for physio tomorrow again tomorrow. Wonderful I can type with one hand !

Not sure why but today it really hit me how close we are to the season. Maybe it's cause I was out in the stores around Christmas trees today, or just talking to my brother and sister about it. Just starting to really get psyched about it all. I'm glad though that I'm getting excited in late October though as opposed to mid-December.

More time to enjoy it!!!

I just can't seem to get caught up here, still 243 posts behind.

It was 19*f this morning, brrrrrr, the heat was pumping, and I had to start the car.
My Bengals are 6-0 I am thrilled about that, I got a new hat to replace my old Bengals hat. I was worried about replacing it thinking it may jinx their great start but they won Sunday after I bought it on Saturday.

The time has come....

Merry Tuesday Morning!
Hope everyone is ok. I've not had time to catch up on posts. It is a very dismal autumn morning here and quite pleasant at 8C but warming up to about 10C.

I woke up to these headlines :

'Weather warning: Snowmageddon set to strike this winter' - The Telegraph

'HEAVY SNOW WARNING: Worst El Nino in recorded HISTORY means UK faces winter WHITE-OUT' - Express

No one really takes notice of these weather warnings here though as it never happens We'll see what happens. It's too early to tell.

Days to the Season: 24 (UNDER 3 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 66 (Below 10 1/2 weeks!)

Gee. Starting to close in on the end of October.
(That sure went fast, didn't it?)


Chilly yesterday but at least it was calm with plenty of sun.
A slow warming trend is expected and we should be back at least into the low 70's for highs, shortly.
This morning has commenced cold again at 39 degrees here in the capital city.

Well it looks like we have a new prime minister here in Canada, Justin Trudeau got himself a majority government which is quite amazing.
And the Jays won the game last night!!!!

It is actually a nice mild morning here today which is nice considering how chilly it's been the last few days. Hard to believe Halloween is so close I don't even have a pumpkin ready yet. Of course this year my sons going to have to do all the work on that one.. I have a big rally to go to on Halloween Day but should be home in time to hand out candy to the little ones.

Good morning everyone.
Woke up with a headache again, third day in a row. Can't seem to shake this one off. So annoying. Anyway, my youngest has a routine dentist appointment this morning. I have to stop at the supermarket afterward to pick up a few things. Back home to work on daily chores. Skipping my workout dvd today and going for a walk around a lake that's near my house. I drove by the other day and it looks extra pretty with the trees changing colors. So peaceful there, I just love it. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

I'm sorry you're still having to deal with those headaches. I hope the improve soon!

Good morning my festive friends!!!

We actually watched The Great Pumpkin on Sunday night (hubby's band was playing so the kids and I snuggled in my bed and watched!) but I'm sure we will watch again before Halloween!

At said show, poor Paul (husband) tripped carrying his gear and got a nasty cut! He was off yesterday and had to get stitched up. But he's recovering nicely and he's a trooper!

Back normal today. Getting the kids off to school, gotta clean a bit and cook. Thinking of freezing some cookie dough for Christmas starting this week! I have room in my deep freeze for once!!

When we wake up to headlines like that, we look at each other and say, "Well, it's a slow news day!"

We had an early cold snap here---earliest frost since 1979. I'm surprised the media didn't start talking about polar vortexes!
