Who watched The Great Pumpkin & Toy Story of Terror last night? I worked on my afghan & watched both. Love it. Now I'm even more ready for Christmas shows to start. Ha! :)
Have a wonderful day MMC!!!

I was talking to my company about vacation days, and how many we could carry over, well it looks like I have some days I must use up before the end of the year! I will have some short weeks in my future, I think- long weekends here I come!

:blinky:
How awesome!!!! I am off Friday this week, looking forward to that ~ thinking about taking off next Friday too since my hubby is off all week & it will be our last weekend at the lake! :( Hmmmm....

Well, here it is less than 2 weeks till Halloween. I just realized that it won't be too long until we welcome in The Season!
Crazy how fast it is coming!!! Have a great day MerryBells!

Good evening all :) First time today I've been able to sit down and relax, I go back to work in the factory in 2 weeks so trying to get all my work at home finished so I can chill out abit more. Christmas shopping for my little boy is well under the way now except I just can seem to stop he's going to have way too much at this rate, may have to put a couple of things that I feel he may still be too young for ready for his 2nd birthday in May.
Anybody on here got netflix? if so can you recommend a few good christmas watches for me?
Good morning dancer_90! Sounds like you have a great start on Christmas shopping!! I have quite a few movies in my Que on Netflix. I always just search "Christmas" or "Holiday" & if it looks descent, I add it to my Que. They have quite a few. Good luck. Have a great day!

Did you see Dell's Black Friday ad has been released!! And so it starts...
:jump

Power hour clean for an hour until the Great Pumpkin comes on!

Excited that my favorite early holiday station out of Dayton that's not solely online has opened up their holiday stream online for an option to listen to Christmas music!!!! Sunny 95. It's available online-see the thread in the music forum to check the details out if you're curious.

Hope you all have had a phenomenal day!!!
Nice ~ I will check it out!! I can probably actually pick up that station on my FM radio! :D

Out of the 3 Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Charlie Brown's which is your favorite? Good debate...probably should be on a separate thread somewhere. Probably is and I'm just too lazy to check for it.
CHRISTMAS!!!

Hi everyone. This is a tough post to make. I wanted to share my thoughts with you because I am deeply troubled by what I have been witnessing these past couple of evenings. I have been watching my wife's grandfather slowly die....Morbid, sad, comforting, relief, confused and just don't know what to think; "computing - computing - computing....." are just a few thoughts and words that are all running thru my mind to the point where my brain is starting to feel numb.

I love him and respect him as though he was my real grandfather (he was to me...) Grandpop and Grandmom always treated me with kindness, respect and with open arms, and was one of the first to welcome me into their fold; my wife's family.... We lost Grandmom about 15 years ago from a heart attack and now I'm watching grandpop slowly go....

I watch everyone, my MIL, my wife, my FIL and the love that they show, give and hold for grandpop is almost overwhelming to me. Brings tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat.
But this process of him being in a Hospice, dying slowly, while I'm watching him holding on to life, one breath at a time is eating me up on the inside. When he became ill, the only way to fix him, would of been to put him thru a very rough surgery with 6-7 weeks of a feeding tube in him. He has dementia, arthritis so bad, he cannot grasp anything, walk or go to the bathroom by himself. He cannot dress himself, barely feed himself, etc... My MIL said no to the surgery since he was 94 years old. My wife and I supported her and her decision. And, now here we are, one week later. It could be tonight, tomorrow night, who knows, only God does when he will be ready to take him through the pearly gates of heaven.

But for me, right now at this moment, watching something that I have never seen before has got me all messed up in the head, heart and soul. It's just so very hard to watch......and accept!
I am so sorry xmas! Sending you hugs, strength & prayers! I know it's tough - we went through something similar with my Grandma only she didn't hang on so long. I'll be thinking of you! (((HUGS)))

Good evening, Happy Taco Tuesday!!!

463 posts all caught up on now. Phew!
I find it so hard to spend time here lately, Never have a chance to get here until after 9pm with all that we have to get done, kids homework, laundry, dinner, dishes, showers, bedtime/reading to the kids. Makes for long evenings.

Not much else really going on here, just stepped on one of the boys toys and it got embedded into my foot, that really hurt, especially when you realize it is still stuck to your foot when you lift your foot.

On that note, I need some shuteye.

Goodnight, everyone.

Hope your foot is ok today!! Have a good day xmas!

Merry Wednesday! Happy Pines Day and most of all HAPPY BACK TO THE FUTURE DAY!!
Today is the date Marty and Doc traveled to the future in Back to the Future 2 ! I remember being a kid and thinking 2015 was such a long way away and all the inventions predicted in the movie seemed so possible! Now where's my Hoverboard!!!!

They are showing all the films from 4pm this evening. I'm going to think up up a fun themed meal for us and we are going to be spending our evening Back to the Future of course :D

That's an easy question for me, I enjoy the Halloween special but the Christmas special is by far my favorite. Nothing compares to Linus quoting from Luke 2:8-14 explaining what Christmas is all about.
I was 6 when the Great Pumpkin first aired and 7 when Charlie Brown Christmas first aired. My wife laughs at me but I haven't missed a year watching them and Rudolph.
