Good afternoon MMC!
Had my doctors appointment this morning and I must say I'm rather disappointed that he's put me off work another three weeks. I know it's for my own good and my arm has to heal. I was so excited about extra hours at work finally I was preparing for a very special Christmas this year. I guess I'll just have to get busy and make it special in different way. Everything will work out it always does.
Meanwhile I'm getting lots of reading done watching movies and slowly cleaning up around here it's amazing what you can do with one hand. Now if only I could learn to crochet with one hand that would be neat!
Halloween this weekend what time is flying by. My tops group in this area has a big rally on Saturday so I will be there all day. This is a day of fun and awards and listening to inspirational speakers and getting together with people I don't get to see very often. I am looking forward to a day out

Evening all,
It's already night here at 5:30pm. It's going to take a few days to adjust to the clock change! Dentist went well. None of us need any work done. I am back next week for a routine clean/polish. I am so glad it's over. You know how much I hat going to the dentist!!

Teh kids and I really enjoyed the walk to the dentist. It was a beautiful autumn day and everyone is getting into the spirit of Halloween. I even got a free Halloween treat bag from Iceland! Chocolates!

Good morning, MMC. Mondays after holidays are the most difficult...didn't want to get up at all, don't have food packed because we got back at 7 last night, and overall just am not ready for today! Hoping it goes well even though there are some difficult things happening at work that need attending.

Good news is it won't last forever, and before I know it, tomorrow will be here. I hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy the last Monday of October! This week ends in November. So not ready yet! Cheers!

Days to Halloween: 5 (Can that number really be right??)
Days to the Season: 18 (Barely over 2 1/2 Weeks remain!)
Days to Christmas Day: 60 (UNDER TWO MONTHS!)

(Wow. Just step away for a couple of days, and things really get away from you!)


Great weather at the coast, and the cottage is all winterized/shut down for the season. It should continue cool-moderately warm here for the next few days.
This morning has commenced at 56 degrees in our part of the Great MMC Nation.

Had my doctors appointment this morning and I must say I'm rather disappointed that he's put me off work another three weeks. I know it's for my own good and my arm has to heal. I was so excited about extra hours at work finally I was preparing for a very special Christmas this year. I guess I'll just have to get busy and make it special in different way. Everything will work out it always does.
Meanwhile I'm getting lots of reading done watching movies and slowly cleaning up around here it's amazing what you can do with one hand. Now if only I could learn to crochet with one hand that would be neat!

I am sorry to hear that, but it is for your own good and in the end it will be for the better despite it being bad news for now. You can still make Christmas special this year, though, I am sure of it

Would you believe it? The component that failed on the car was the same component that was damaged by road debris on the other car less than two weeks ago. And it cost similar $$$ to get it fixed, too.

We're in the same boat with the furnace. Ours is over 50 years old (it was in the house when we bought it), but built like a Mack truck and still going strong. Just the same, they are recommending that we get a more efficient one to work better with our new water heater and save on fuel. They say if we wait until spring, there will be rebates available so we would get some of the cost back. That reminds me ... we were supposed to get a rebate on the water heater ... must check into that.

Sorry your car will be so expensive to fix. Ugh!!!
I was hoping to not hear "new furnace" news at 19 years old - 50 years sounds more like it! LOL! Cuz he said generally when the furnace goes, the AC is not far behind it. Ahhhhh..... Hope you can get nice rebates!!!

Hey gang! Hope everyone is well!

Turned in some days for work on Friday and on Nov. 13th. Pretty excited about it. The time is starting to near and we are trying to be very intentional about planning things as a family. I don't want to miss a single opportunity. This is going to be an awesome Christmas season!
