I am using some of my vacation days for Christmas prep, and extended holiday time myself.

I am off Nov 10th for Christmas shopping with my neighbor ladies & I am off Dec 4th for the annual shopping trip with my friend! And then I'm off between the holidays. Yippee!!

Very few are great. If your only aim is to be "great," that's not enough. You have to LOVE to write, and write constantly, to improve.
I don't have the dedication to make that grade, myself. I've had nonfiction, factual articles published, but I'm pretty sure I could never write good fiction.

Had my doctors appointment this morning and I must say I'm rather disappointed that he's put me off work another three weeks. I know it's for my own good and my arm has to heal. I was so excited about extra hours at work finally I was preparing for a very special Christmas this year. I guess I'll just have to get busy and make it special in different way. Everything will work out it always does.
Meanwhile I'm getting lots of reading done watching movies and slowly cleaning up around here it's amazing what you can do with one hand. Now if only I could learn to crochet with one hand that would be neat!

If you Google "crochet with one hand," various suggestions and videos come up ... I didn't check them out, but it's someplace to start!

I was hoping to not hear "new furnace" news at 19 years old - 50 years sounds more like it! LOL! Cuz he said generally when the furnace goes, the AC is not far behind it. Ahhhhh..... Hope you can get nice rebates!!!

We'll be getting a bit more than 10% back on the water heater, sounds like. Well, as we say, "beats a sharp stick in the eye."
