I heard that New England is going to get hammered again this coming winter....Mid-Atlantic; will be a hit-or-miss winter, the South; warm and wet....
Nothing better than a cozy bed on a chilly night.
The northeast deserves a break. Last 2 winters have been brutal. Last winter we were the only part of the entire world that was way below average temperatures. I'm hoping we can't see a 3-peat. I thought El Nino meant warmer air for us? Hoping...except I'd love to see a white Christmas. Last year was 60 degrees when I woke up. Yuck.

Afternoon all,
Another beautiful autumn day here. I took the kids for a long walk after their haircuts. The leaf fall is at it's peak now.
Spoke to mum when we got back. She now has two more new additions to the family. A few months ago she took in a stray kitten that showed up at the house. Last week she came across two kittens abandoned and took them in. She now has six cats!

Afternoon all, hope you are all having a lovely Tuesday. Just one more week til I no longer work from home but that's great for me as I go from spending only friday through to monday with my little boy to having nearly all week with himAlso had my 20 week baby scan this morning all is fine and we now can't wait to find out what the sex of the baby is

I am not hosting this year (unless my MIL decides she doesn't want to have it at their new house for some reason....) My sister is hosting for my side, so I'm kind of relived ~ I love to host, but I also like to put my tree up early....also if I don't have the in-laws for lunch, we can possibly have the Turkey Trot again this year on Thanksgiving morning!!! xx
Thanksgiving is a lot of work, I think it's nice to get a break once in while. Hope you get to have the Turkey Trot, that sounds like fun!
We're starting out with an antipasto, a cheese platter, stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, shrimp cocktail and a spinach & artichoke dip. Then we'll have lasagna. Then the turkey & gravy, praline yams, mashed potatoes, stuffing, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted asparagus, spinach salad with warm bacon dressing, quiche Lorraine, dinner rolls and cranberry sauce. Everyone usually brings dessert so that helps me out. But I'll definitely be making myself a gluten free pumpkin pie, I must have that. I think I'm going to make a gluten free pecan pie as well. Why not, it's only once a year.

Thanks for the hugs for Har! She'll need them, she was at the groomer's this morning. Unlike Gracie, she doesn't like to go so much. Poor thing gets pretty nervous.
