TGIF, my Christmas friends!

The kids won the region with their One-Act Play! They were so excited! And Elizabeth won Most Outstanding Actor! And Jacob was complimented profusely for his banjo playing. My goodness, these kids and their extracurriculars LOL. It was interesting to see the plays acted out by the other schools, too, but ours was the obvious choice, if I do say so myself.

Now we go on to state on November 18...two days before Nutcracker starts. It'll be held far enough away that we'll have to stay overnight, so Elizabeth will probably miss a dress rehearsal for the ballet. I hope they don't mind too much!

I'm doing it again, but...I'M PROUD OF MY KIDS! ;)

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Hubby guessed it right! They did dress up as the Peanuts gang! He never watches this show so good guess for him but obvious they have been hyping up the movie everywhere. The only thing I guessed right as they started to reveal is they will probably dress up Matt as Lucy and I got that right! They usually dress him up as a gal.

I have been listening to my audio cd this past week, it has made my travels spooky & fun!

For my commute this morning, I put on Tom Baker's excellent audiobook of "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." I love to pull that out around Halloween! Next up: His audiobook of "A Christmas Carol," which is superb!

Afternoon guys,
I spent the morning catching up with a little work on the PC and tidied up the house. It's almost 1pm here and the kids and I are going for a walk to the shops. The weather has suddenly cleared up after a very dark, wet morning. It is unusually warm. I was up most of the night with a terrible cough so going to pick up some cough medicine.

For all just waking up, I hope you have a great start to the day!

I'm sorry you had a rough night, praying the cough medicine helps. Feel better Festive.

Good Morning, Everyone.

Well, it's here again -- Weekend Eve in all its glory!

This is pretty glorious, too:
Days to Halloween: 1 (TOMORROW!!!)
Days to the Season: 14 (TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 56 (EIGHT weeks from today!)

(Can Christmas Season 2015 really be only 2 weeks away??
That's incredible -- just incredible!)

Well, dry and a bit warmer yesterday, as the storm clouds retreated.
Should be nice and clear again today, albeit a bit cooler.
Should continue clear but coolish on through the weekend.
It is 50 degrees here right now.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And keep thinking about the fact that tomorrow is both the start of the weekend AND Halloween!

Two weeks from today? That means we will be counting down in REAL TIME in only 13 days! Oh, how magical that will be!

Congratulations to all!!! I know you must be so proud!!!

Jacob is cool for playing the banjo, George Harrison was known for playing it too! :D

That is wonderful, Brad! You should be proud!!
Big Congratulations to them!!
Merry Friday :)

Thank you!
Also remember that hot tea with honey and lemon will help to soothe your cough.
Poor Mr. is still trying to get rid of his cough/virus---he has to lie down to rest a few times during the day. Hoping he gets better over the weekend, because he is hosting a film show on Monday.
Oh no! I hope Mr. feels better real soon!!!

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday! I haven't had a chance to catch up yet, not sure if I will. I don't know how long I'll be at work this morning...hopefully not long! :)
My sister, mom & I are taking off around noon to go visit my SIL in the hospital. We are going to try to beat both noon & 5:00 rush hour traffic....traveling the dreaded area of I-75! UGH! But it will be alright - no biggy, just lots of traffic!
I'm hoping to get home in time to help with moving my in-laws. Today is moving day! They are moving from the farm to a new (new to them) house. To make up for being gone today, last night I made a pineapple upside down cake, apple pie, potatoes & I got some bbq beef out of the freezer to put in the crock pot ~ at least they shouldn't go hungry! ;)

Have a Fantastic Friday MMC!!

Good morning Holiday, Happy Friday!
Keeping your SIL and your entire family in my prayers (((hugs)))
Hope the move goes well!
Have a nice day!

I saw you posted that! I bet is is intriguing!
Enjoy "A Christmas Carol" too!

My "Christmas" Tree is still up. I had put fall garland all through it for now. Next week it will be a full Christmas Tree adorned with all Christmas decorations! Can't wait!
Awesome!
I will start taking down my fall and Halloween on Sunday, but probably won't get through it all. Christmas decorating is right after ;) So exciting!!

Holiday, praying for your SIL!

Snowflake, wow, snow already. There isn't any in our forecast for the foreseeable future (which includes all of November). We are going to be in the mid sixties next week, too.

HmG, I am so happy you are taking up crocheting! Have fun!!!

Festive, praying everyone is better soon!
Thank you! Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Halloween!

Lots of Eves there!!!

Although it has to be said that whenever there is an 'Eve' it invariably precedes something that we all look forward to!!!
I love the "Eves" :D

I've decided on pizza and candy for Halloween night with Halloween shows and handing out candy to kids.
YUM!

Yup! Get em both (fortunately!)

Can I recommend 3 movies if anyone gets to see em...

1. The 12 days of Christmas Eve (Steven Webber)
2. Christmas Magic (Lindy Booth)
3. Crazy for Christmas (Andrea Roth)

Every one of them is a hidden festive cracker - if you pardon the pun!!!
Christmas Magic is one of my faves!

She is in my thoughts.
Thanks xmas!

Good morning, MMC!!

Happy Halloween Eve to you! :shakeit

I've got a short day at work and then I'm headed to a retreat center for the night to do a presentation for some college students with some colleagues of mine (say that two times fast!). It's basically a time for me to get away and relax tonight with two hours of presentation tomorrow AM before returning home!

Tomorrow night, a friend of ours is having a party for her birthday, so we'll likely spend Halloween with them. It'll be awesome.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday today and a wonderful start to your weekend! I'll pop back in tomorrow sometime!
Have a great Halloween weekend!

Good Friday Morning MMC! It's currently 49 degrees under mostly clear skies. We are expecting a forecast high temperature of 58 degrees under mostly sunny skies. A nice late (VERY late) October Friday. Speaking of...
It's Halloween EVE! It's FRIDAY! What a combination. I'm probably more excited for Halloween than most kids. But I always said growing up 100% and being 100% mature is boring (maybe I have a partial Peter Pan syndrome but don't we all?). I'm looking forward to an extra hour this weekend also...some pizza for Halloween...some good candy...seeing some kids with costumes...watching Halloween shows. Yup I'm a big kid...and proud of it.
I hope you guys all have a great Friday. Think about all the fun Halloween stuff we can do this weekend. Hard to believe Sunday will be NOVEMBER...the month of the season. Talk to you guys later!
Oh ugh! I almost forgot about the time change! Dreading the darkness at night. Good thing Christmas lights will be going up SOON!

Good morning, friends~
Happy Friday!!
It was so nice to sleep in this morning =]
Hope you all have a blessed day!!

Have a wonderful day snowflake. Happy Friday!
Ha ha! True ❤️
Thanks, Holiday! Happy Friday!

Boo!!! Did I scare ya?! ;) Happy Halloween Weekend my Christmas friends!

Looking forward to the Today Show Halloween Costume reveal! I try to watch it every year. For those who don't watch it they surprise the audience with a Halloween costume theme that the whole cast dress up in. One year it was a Star Wars theme, last year Saturday Night Live theme and so on. Hubby was guessing maybe they will do the Peanuts theme this year and I sure hope so!!! I guess we will find out soon! They will reveal it in less than an hour. I believe Good Morning America does the same thing but I watch the Today Show every year. Either way, both do a good job! =)

I hope you all have a fabulous Halloween weekend!

Happy Halloween Eve CAH!
Enjoy the Today Show, I'm watching Kelly & Michael's Halloween show right now. So much fun!
Have a wonderful day!

Thanks! Yes, it is relaxing, and it's a great "couch activity." When you need to relax, you can work on something simple; when you're feeling ambitious, you can pick up something more complex.

I'm looking forward to the day I can do something more complex!

Thank you!
