Happy pines day. Our depressing weather continues with lots of rain and much too warm temps. We finally had a dry day yesterday & are forecast for one today but rain returns Friday & Saturday. Hopefully the rain holds off Friday night. Our county's high school plays the neighboring counties HS for the conference football championship. Most of the county will be there and it would be a shame to have rain mess it up.

I can't stop thinking about Christmas! For the next few says I am going to get the house ready so I can decorate the following weekend. I am holding off till after they install the new heating system next Wednesday as I know this will cause some disruption in the house. Then I feel like it's time so I am aiming for the weekend after. Works out perfectly as the season officially starts then too!!!

I forced myself to do a three mile walk. I'm glad it's over with, lol.

You can do it HMG. It's all about routine and commitment.

I think my problem is I don't have a routine. I would love to wake up and get it over with first thing in the morning but that can't always happen for me. So I end up squeezing it in when ever I can, I just need to be more consistent!

Thanks for the positive thoughts and prayers everyone. They must be working because (fingers crossed ) I am starting to feel better and the cough is improving. THANK YOU!

Good morning, all! We seem to be in the middle of Indian Summer. There was a very heavy mist this morning; my Dad used to tell me that Indian Summer got it's name because the mists looked like smoke from Indian campfires. It's nice when I see stuff that reminds me of my Dad.

My SIL is doing ok. She is home. She's very weak. She has a long road but refuses help. Trying to get her some home health - they are supposed to be there to assess today! xx Thanks for asking!

I'm off work early because my schedule only is 24 hours a week. Once I work 24, I'm off! That means not through 4 today! I'm planning on using my time well-an audiobook, knitting, and cleaning!

another lovely day here, not doing much just because I cannot still...very boring by the way.
Even sitting by the computer typing is painful, but I miss being here more. Looking forward to the Christmas season starting and doing lots of thinking about how to decorate this year..

Good afternoon everyone!!! Busy day today... went grocery shopping after I dropped the kids off at school and noticed my town had started putting Christmas decorations up on Main Street!!! AND I bought my first candy canes of the season!! So after I finished my writing course this morning, I brought all of my bins up and got to work outside. It's nearly all decorated now, yay!!! I won't turn the lights on for antoher week or so, I reckon.
I also got another batch of cookie dough in the deep freezer. Thought I had all my Christmas linens cleaned but found some more that I will wash tomorrow. Ahhhh, it's all coming together...

Oh my goodness Snowflake, I LOVE it!
We had one similar on our tree when I was growing up. I would love to eventually get one like that. I would really like to buy either a white or silver tinsel tree some day, for all of my vintage-y ornaments!!!
