Hey y'all! Just wanted to stop by and check in! Special posts start tomorrow...I'm so excited about this upcoming week! It is one of the best weeks of the year!

Tonight was Christmas Tree Night at our house....ran into a small problem. We can't find the tree lights! So Christmas Tree Night will be Christmas Tree Day...tomorrow. We still had fun....ate a good meal....watched two Christmas movies...more of the same tomorrow.

See y'all then!

Sounds like a fun night, even if you had to postpone it because the lights went missing! I think the lights are my favorite part...they make everything so cheery. Have a great day, ballcoach-a great Christmas Tree Day!!

Merry Sunday
Leaving for work soon. Long day ahead. Won't get in till around 8pm. I'll pop in tonight after I've settled in from work!
Have a merry and bright Sunday!

Merry Sunday!
Enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights ❤️
Hope work goes well.
Have a wonderful day!

Morning all and a Merry November Sunday. Weather is taking a turn for the worst here with strong wind and some heavy rain. More winterty but not snow and frost unfortunately. It's cleaning time this morning and then a trip to Costa Coffee to sample some Christmas beverages, yeah. Have a good day everyone.
Merry Sunday, 'Tis~
Stay safe & warm today.
Enjoy the Christmas coffee!
Have s blessed day.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! We started to feel like it was Fall for a week but back in the 80s today.
Heading to Michaels craft store to check out the Christmas haul this year. Enjoy your day! Ho Ho Ho
Merry Sunday, DoubleA!
Have fun at Michael's!

Good Morning, MMC, and happy Sunday! Thanks to Edge for a great kickoff to countdown week! I really liked his post, and I know all of the posts coming up will be equally as wonderful!

I've got to work for just a bit this morning, but then I'm going to spend the afternoon doing laundry and trying to relax with my husband. We're going to housesit for friends of ours who had to leave the country suddenly for a family emergency in England, so we're going to be over there some as well. I watched a lot of Christmas movies yesterday for the first time--some ABC Family and some Hallmark ones I hadn't seen before!

Hope you all have a wonderful and merry Sunday! Enjoy your afternoon and hopefully good time with loved ones.

SPECIAL POST NOVEMBER 8, 2015
I remember when I was 7 and I received a gift from Santa on Christmas morning. It was a gift that I had wanted all year. I remember the excitement that I felt when I opened it, turning to my mom and saying "I got it because I said God bless you when someone sneezes." My mom smiled at me.

I remember when I was 10 and my younger siblings and I became so obsessed with Christmas that we started our own little daily "meetings" late at night after we were supposed to be sleeping and vowed to keep those meetings going all year long because we loved Christmas so much. We'd just lay there together and talk about Christmas time and how special it was.

I remember when I was 12 and my dad (who had gotten cancer earlier that year in the summer) sat in his chair weak but would not let the tradition of reading "Twas the night before Christmas" to his kids stop. I remember laying in bed listening to him and knowing in my heart that would be the last time that he would read this to me on Christmas Eve. He passed away about 6 weeks later.

We're expected to love Christmas when we're a kid. But now that we're adults we at MMC love Christmas more than we ever did as children. Why? I have often asked myself that question. Maybe it's because in a world that often feels as if it's in turmoil, one of the very few things we can count on getting BETTER each year is the Christmas season.

We started our journey in January and February in the depths of winter sad, missing our Christmas season that just had passed. We came out of those darker/colder days to days of hope in March and April with spring time and Easter. We continued our voyage into May and June with the summer time beginning and Memorial Day. We moved through the hardcore summer into July and August as we started seeing Christmas on t.v. with "Christmas in July." We hit the "bers" with September and October as we moved from summer into Autumn and the month of our beloved Halloween. Now we are here in November with the Christmas season about to begin and Thanksgiving just a few weeks away. And last but certainly not least we have December ahead of us...the month of Christmas.
The year only gets better as it goes forward. Fittingly, Christmas falls in the last month of the year because of course as the saying goes "save the best for last."

MMC is a special place. It's the best website on the internet with some of the best people around the world. I've been to plenty of sites before but none are as accepting and awesome as the fine people of MMC. I'd like to personally thank all of you for accepting me and for accepting each other.

In closing, I just want to say that I hope each and every one of you has the best Christmas season of your entire lives this year. Enjoy every moment that you can. Even through the busy times, with work, school, kids, etc. take some time for yourself to "stop" and take it all in. After all, we've had a long 300+ day journey to get to this point. The Christmas season is upon us. Smile and be happy for this is the most special time of the year to us. We're here. While it's great to remember the memories from our past (as I stated some of mine at the beginning of this), I want you all to focus on the present and making new Christmas Season memories every moment that you can this year.
Merry Christmas to all of us at MMC. Let it begin...

Wonderful season-opening post, Edge! Everyone's childhood is different, but isn't it awesome that we all came to the same love for Christmas?

Thanks!
