Thank you, Crown! "One" was really on my mind. I guess all my arts works (Journalism, English, and HIstory) plus teaching pays off for writing!

What A Great Reflective Post ..! I suddenly want to start singing Kermit ''Its Not Easy Being Green ''
LOL. Many blessings To You Have A Wonderful Day![]()
Nothing beats a Muppet Christmas Carol. We watch that movie every year, either on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. It is one of my favorites for the season.
Beautiful, Brent, and absolutely true. I'm aso looking forward to another wonderful season with my wonderful MMC family!
Awe - I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Kittles. What a shock - a handsome boy crossed the bridge much too soon! Prayers for Brad & Cass!
Prayers for a painless procedure for you today too!!
Amazing post Brent! I love how Kermit made his way in there too! Love it ~ great job! I can't believe that was our final special post before the season begins!! Crazy how time fly's!SPECIAL POST #5
One. We are one day away from the Christmas Season. One day from a season of love, laughter, peace on earth, and goodwill to all. For the past seven years, I have had the pleasure of counting down with some of the finest people I have never met, yet that I always leave (electronically) with a smile on my face. Indeed, MMC, we are a family of different generations, religions, opinions, and beliefs, yet we accept everyone because we all cherish what is beyond our next sleep. And, it is the Christmas Season that brings us together as one.
In the spirit of the final countdown to the Season, it only feels proper for me to preface my next thoughts with some lyrics from Kermit The Frog.
“There’s magic in the air this evening
Magic in the air
The word is at her best, you know
When people love and care
The promise of excitement is one the night will keep
After all, there’s only one more sleep ‘til Christmas.”
Although the song “One More Sleep ‘Til Christmas” refers to Christmas Day, I believe it fits perfectly with our yearly tradition and Countdown. Every year, we temper our excitement – to the best of our abilities – for the Christmas Season. Sure, we have our “Milestone” days and weekly celebrations at the ‘Pines, but we know that our favourite time of the year has a specific time and place. Now, we see that Christmas has bud and is ready to fully Blossom before our very eyes.
“Magic” will be in the air this evening, and that magic will overcome our lovely MMC family as we think about those we love, and those loved ones that we have lost, and keep them with us during our favourite time of the year. In less than 24 hours, we will all be able to smile and wish everyone our two favourite words without hesitation. Yes, this evening, once again, we will come together as one and welcome the 2015 Christmas Season!
Friends, there is only one more day. I am looking forward to carrying on the tradition of counting down with you tonight, in real time.
Maybe I better take a nap (lol) so I can be here...you're making it hard to think of missing this!!!Good Morning, Fellow Travelers.
Well, the long journey is nearly complete.
Three Hundred and Sixty-Five days down to ONE. That's right. ONE.
I only hope it has been as fun for you as it has for me.
Days to the Season: 1 (Tomorrow. No more need be said.)
Days to Thanksgiving: 14 (TWO WEEKS from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 43 (Six weeks from tomorrow!)
(Almost chokes you up, doesn't it?)
Another dry and sunny day here yesterday. A bit cool but all in all, pretty pleasant for this time of the year.
This morning has commenced at 50 degrees.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends.
And please join us here tonight for our real-time final countdown to midnight.
One of the biggest -- if not THE biggest -- highlights of the year.
(If you want a suggestion of just ONE thing not to miss, it's this!)

Welcome back, and congrats on getting the testing behind you...almost!Hello friends! Long time no see! I know it's been quite a while, but I wanted to stop in and say hi, especially since the special posts are partaking.
Two of the three tests I have to do for work, I now have done and I will be taking the last one next week and will have all my certifications, so I plan on being here more regularly again. Between being very busy with the kids and in my free time studying, if not at work, that's what I've been doing! My new job is going great though and I love it - it's very rewarding!
I think of you all often and pray for you all too! Hope all is well with you all! Have a great Thursday! Christmas is coming!!!
