Christmas Countdown - 2015

I never made it on MMC last night, too little time.
I was able to set up our 7.5 foot tree today, it has no decorations on it, but it is up.

I am beyond tired again.

I started out to do some audio recording for a Christmas project, but our yard guy came around with his leaf blower ... oh, well. We need to have the gutters cleaned and the leaves swept up and removed. I got through about half of my recording, so I'll just put on my headphones and start editing and processing those files.

I still can't believe it. One more workweek, then it's Thanksgiving week! I'm excited but also frightened, because there's so much holiday prep to do and the time is getting shorter. My workplace will have its second annual office Thanksgiving on Monday the 23rd. The office provides the turkey, and the rest is potluck. I'm taking a batch of those cookies made with stuffing mix and dried cranberries. I'm taking off the day before Thanksgiving to string lights on the tree and get my Christmas cards organized. Thanksgiving weekend we'll be wrapping and packaging gifts that are being mailed. "Bizz-ee, bizz-ee, bizz-ee!"

It's just crazy how fast it's coming around... My brother & sil fly in THIS Wednesday for our nephews wedding. They will be home until Monday. So we basically have 2 weekends of Thanksgiving! Partying kicks off this Wednesday night at my brothers house (mother/father of the groom's house) for pizza's on the grill & a bonfire! Exciting times ahead!

You could always take it down and put it back up again...but you'd probably have too much fun doing that.

Bah ha ha ~ not going to happen! I still have another tree to put up in the sun room!

I hear ya about stress. I sorta gave up most of that a few years ago. Now people tell me I'm too laid back but I just see how others stress over stuff that isn't "that important" and I don't see what it accomplishes. That's why I learned to control my own stress (most of the time) and put things in perspective. I started to realize that stress was a hindrance to me being productive and it never helped me so why stress?

Sounds ideal. I've never found the switch to turn it off, myself.

November 13 the Christmas tree was put in place at City Hall in Stratford. This morning lights were put on it and street decorations hung up. Looking very festive around here.

It's a chilly 38 degrees here but it'll be 67 by the peak of the day. A bit warm for us for mid-November, but I'm not complaining! We haven't had to use the heat yet!

A busy day on tap at work for me. I have a co-worker who is very anxious about getting all of our work done for the holidays, but I'm not anxious at all about it. I hope I can help her stay calm and not let it all stress me out! Days like today are made for some Christmas music at my desk-quietly so that no one can hear but me!

A local radio station has flipped to Christmas music, FYI! They flipped I think on Friday the 13th........coincidence?

Our local station flipped Nov. 1st...you should hear the complaining... (I on the other hand LOVE IT!)
