Good Morning, Thanksgiving Week Folks!

Yes my Friends, we have indeed arrived at the week which contains the above long-awaited holiday.

Today's number tell the tale:
Days to Thanksgiving: 3 (UNDER HALF A WEEK remains!)
Days to Christmas Day: 32 (1 MONTH FROM THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!)


It was quite chilly here yesterday and will be even colder today.
Our temp this morning is 34 degrees with sub-freezing numbers expected for tonight before warmer weather creeps back in starting tomorrow.


Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone. How about those 10-0 Panthers?!
(And the Packers are back on top, too!)

Today is my oldest daughters 22nd birthday. My goodness, where did the years go? We're going out for dinner this evening at her favorite restaurant to celebrate!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and has a great week ahead!

That's neat that we share a birthday!!! She's exactly as old as my youngest sister is! To the day! Happy Birthday to her! Have a wonderful week friend!!!

Here's another Merry Monday! I got my yard lights put up over the weekend. That's the good news. The bad news is that half the decorations are old and refuse to light. I guess I'm looking for sales, now.

Good morning MMC! So - it looks like I have 370 messages to catch up on & work too. Whew! Not sure if I can get that all accomplished!
Hope you all had a nice weekend! My nephews wedding was just amazing. We get to church & sit down & I read the back of the program which is a thank you to our family for allowing Adam to wear my Dads wedding ring.

"We would like to give a special thanks to Adams family for giving him the honor of wearing his Grandfathers wedding band. As we exchange vows we will be remembering him & will always keep him in our hearts. We hope to have the same love, faith & hard work that the ring has witnessed. Let it be a reminder of Richards strength & let us carry that with us as we begin our life together here today." ... and that's where the bawl fest began. LOL There was a lot of eye wiping going on the whole mass! It was all good. Very beautiful ceremony! The reception after was so much fun. Breakfast at my nieces was also fun after that....long day, late night! Needed to re-coop yesterday but that didn't happen either. We had Jims extended family's Thanksgiving for lunch & then it was off to my Moms for pizza - my brother/sil leave this afternoon to head back to Cape Cod. The time just went too fast!
I can't believe it's Thanksgiving week!

I never told you all - Gracie had her apt on Friday morning & her blood pressure was a little high. I'm not sure how they can possibly get an accurate reading - she was SO excited. But anyway - they sent her samples to a lab & now we wait for the results! The vet feels they will probably up her BP medicine pending results of her tests. I'm just praying those tests come back good!!! xx

Prayers for her tests! She's had a tough go of it recently!

Sorry that I have been away, I was sick all last week and still trying to get my energy back. Been online some but didn't get time to spend here. I just wanted to stop by to say hello to all, how much I miss you all and hope all is well! I have a lot to do this week getting ready to host Thanksgiving at my house, expecting 17 people so far and a few others might show up as well. If I get a chance to just sit still I will try to catch up with some of you!

Thanks for the emails checking on me! I should have at least posted here to let you all know what's going on! Hugs to all!!!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Finally. Victory Monday has returned! It's always good to see the Packers win. Hopefully they can continue their winning ways throughout the Christmas Season!

We have a few clouds in the sky and the wind remains somewhat strong in Ottawa. I awoke this morning to temperatures below freezing.... Yep. We hit about -8c/13f last night for the first time on this side of the year. I had managed to avoid using the scraper to chip-away the frost/ice on the windows until this morning. No real complaints, though. November 23 isn't that bad!

Today should be a busy day. I'm at Russell right now. I only have a half period off, then I have to monitor a standardized test.... something I absolutely do not believe in, but that's not my decision. After teaching, I have to go to the gym for a very quick workout.

Tonight, Kim and I need to get groceries. We had not time yesterday as we did not arrive home from Cornwall until about 4:30. And, of course, the Packers game took precedence over groceries. Priorities, indeed. Then, I have some sporting stuff to play tonight at 8:30. I think I will be sleeping easy tonight.

Well, it's almost time to get to class. I hope everyone has been enjoying their days thus far. The Christmas Season is going strong! Christmas music is finally on the radio here in Ottawa, too. What a great way to start the day! ...and continue throughout the day - I don't even need my iPod!

Good Afternoon, MMC!!!!! It's a chilly day here with a high of 42 predicted this afternoon. We got our first snow on Saturday. It was just enough to cover the grass and roofs but not stick to the roads or sidewalks. So pretty much perfect!!! Then yesterday it was freezing!!!! Brr!!!! I'm in agreement with everyone else that it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is this week. We are having it at my aunts but I'm pretty much doing all of the cooking. So I just got back from the store and now I'm making my pumpkin rolls. I attempted to do them yesterday but they tore as I rolled them. So far things are going better today thankfully. Tomorrow will be more prep work and then lots of cooking on Wednesday. I hope everyone enjoys the holiday if I'm not back on before then!!!!! Have a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad has been doing a lot better since he had his infusion over the summer. Praying it stays that way and he stays healthy over the winter, he usually catches EVERYTHING! Hoping he don't catch this cold going around.

Before I try to get caught up I have some pictures to share. 1st of all from the wedding - this is my little buddy, he was the ring bearer....he is SO stinking funny!!! It's not possible to look at him w/o smiling!!

Adorable!!!

Next up ~ my Mom decided she doesn't want the little tree that she had up In her basement anymore so she gave it to me, along with all the snowflake ornaments she crocheted. This is a pre-lit tree & of course, now the lights don't work! So I added my own....


I don't know how well you can see it, but notice the "vintage" (lol) plastic angel on top the tree & also the very old elf under the tree ~ which looks a lot like the modern day "Elf on the Shelf" It just makes me happy to have it, though bittersweet we no longer have Christmas Eve at my parents! Do you have any idea how many hundreds of presents have been under that tree over the last few years??!!

Love it Holiday, I know how much you will cherish it.
