Good Morning MMC !!

this morning has gone by fast ! Baked 4 loaves of raisin bread, 4 more baking and dough rising for the last 4.
Once this is all done I have to do some serious cleaning in this kitchen.

Hoping you all have a fantastic day !!

That's how you know that they will be great tasting. The messier the kitchen, the better the bread!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had Mama's homemade spaghetti...that's always worth bragging about!

We're trying to plan our office Christmas party, and it's difficult to get everyone to agree on a date. We're planning a get-together at the office manager's house, instead of the usual restaurant in Savannah. She lives pretty close to my house, so it's close for me. And we're having an oyster roast! I likes me some steamed oysters!

I'll be attending my 4th Christmas party at this job tomorrow late afternoon/evening. Same place they've had it the last 3 years...and it amazes me that it's my 4th because I remember like yesterday my coworker (who's been here 15 years now) asked how I liked my 1st one.

We have a tradition that we have spaghetti with clam sauce to start Christmas Eve dinner. I'm not sure why/how that tradition started but ever since I was a kid and we went to my grams for it we had that. I feel like I have too many little traditions that most people (outside of this website) wouldn't get lol.

I'm Clark Griswold too!

We're trying to get into the spirit all we can at our house. We went to my hometown Christmas parade Friday night, then came home & watched both Charlie Brown Christmas movies. Saturday we had DD's Christmas pictures made & she was in our Christmas parade with her Girl Scout troop. We came home & watched White Christmas after that. Sunday night was DD's Christmas program at church. Mom & Dad came over for sandwiches & I gave them their birthday gifts. Mom's birthday was Friday & Dad's birthday is today. Last night DD & I watched Rudolph after her Girl Scout meeting. Also, our elves (Elf on the Shelf plus a friend) are very creative on where they are landing this year. I don't know how they are going to come up with 15 more places to rest this year...

This Saturday is our annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party with our Sunday School class. DH had to get a new sweater this year (he won last year!) and I'll wear the one I wore last year. Sunday morning DD & I will go to church with my parents to see Mom in the cantata. Lunch at their house afterward, then caroling with our church, then soups & sandwiches. WWE pay-per-view is later that night---DD's favorite night of every month!

Ahh I'll be watching TLC on Sunday evening too. I watch the WWE ppv each month and we have a sandwich/chips (my brother and I). Although, I have to say wrestling doesn't see as fun as it used to be. Maybe it's gotten stale but I still try to keep up with it and what's going on even if I don't watch as regularly/intently as I used to as a kid.

I took Gracie's Christmas picture at lunch - it was a challenge - took quite a few white chocolate M & M's to get it done, but a few turned out ok. LOL! (she wouldn't wear her hat!)

Hello Christmas Friends!

Finally enjoying a little down time tomorrow. I haven't had a full day off since Thanksgiving unfortunately. After tomorrow, it'll be a push through to Christmas when I'll finally get some much needed time off! I'll be at work on Sunday getting our residents ready for their Christmas nativity--the first one they've had there in 15+ years! It's going to be interesting--but I am proud to be spearheading it!!

Hope everyone has a phenomenal night! I just worked out and now I'm going to relax and enjoy it!

Happy Pines Day! Hope Carl is cooking up something good tonight-maybe a little FRUITCAKE to go with his signature drinks??

We got it! My husband brought it home this evening. We've been looking through the boxes, I love it all. It's the Dickens Village Series from Dept. 56. We ended up getting 18 buildings and 22 accessory pieces. I'm off to a pretty good start! Not sure where it's going yet but I'll post pictures after it's set up!

So exciting HMG...can't wait to see pics!

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day! Not much going on here today at work....after work I'll be back at the decorating! I decorated until I almost couldn't walk up or down the steps ONE.MORE. TIME. last night. Ha ha!!

Today would be my Dad's 88th birthday...but instead it's his 1st heavenly birthday! We miss him everyday but especially thinking of him today!

I'm heading out soon, my daughter has a doctor appointment and I have a few errands to run afterward. I'm going to Target and Michael's. I need to stop at the post office for Christmas stamps and I'm also going to pick up a few gifts cards while I'm out. Back home afterward to work on daily chores.
My husband just called to tell me he bought a train set off of eBay, to go with the Christmas village. I think he's more excited than I am, lol. It's a good thing, I know I'll need the help when it comes to setting it up.
