Merry Tuesday night, MMC! It's Christmas Eve in this apartment, as we're going to have a wonderful day together off tomorrow celebrating Christmas (one of us works every day the rest of the week)!! I'm going shopping later this evening for food for us. I'll be on call so pray I don't get called in! I hope you all have a wonderful evening!!!!!!

I also have exciting news--I'm going to learn how to be a grant writer as well, and work is funding my education! Woohoo! It's going to be a wonderful 2016!

well, not feeling 100% yet, my stomach does not seem to like anything I put in it except for water. Not throwing up or anything, just very uncomfortable when I eat something. Maybe if this is still this way tomorrow I will give my doc a call after work and make sure this was only the flu. My energy levels are back and I feel otherwise fine. Really strange.

Anyway, I am going up to snuggle with a good book.

wet foggy and dreary here this morning, but the Christmas lights are bright and sparkling, Christmas spirits are in full force and the air is full of excitement !


Off to work in a few min, done at 1 so have the rest of the day to finish off the cleaning and I think I have a couple of things to bake yet.

I would really like some of that white stuff now, it is supposed to be about 70*f on Christmas eve here. I have warned people at work if they see a fat, bearded man in a speedo in their house putting gifts under the tree it is probably Santa.

My Christmas vacation is finally here, 3:30 came and I had such a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. We have a lot to do to get ready for our family gathering here on Christmas Eve, so we will be very busy the next day and a half.

Merry Eve of Christmas Eve!!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I can't believe it! Wasn't it just Halloween?? I am sorry my time here has been so limited. I miss keeping up with each of you. We are all home together this week and it is WONDERFUL! I hope everyone is enjoying the season.

I have started seeing promos on Christmas24 for their switch back to Movies24 I get so used to having it that I forget it will come to an end. Feels like it only just started! This season has gone faster than any I think!

I have a couple errands to run today and a few last minute bits to get from the local shops. I don't want to be out tomorrow at all. We plan to spend tomorrow lazing around in our pajamas and doing Christmassy things.

Happy Xmas eve eve all! Is it really here? I feel like I have been asleep and missed the last 6 months as it has just flown by! Hope this finds you all well, I miss being around here! Sometimes feels like there just is not enough hours in the day!

I have been and done the food shopping this morning so I don't have to tackle the crowds later, My plan is now to chill with the girls! Need to pick up a last minute gift I have reserved aswell, Will call for it later when the hubby finishes work!

Plenty of baking to do in the next couple of days that will keep us busy starting with Cinnamon Rolls and gingerbread men today! Cheesecakes, Gateaux and cookies tomorrow!

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Merry Xmas Eve Eve. Uh oh only 2 eves left in that description. Last day of work here till I'm off for 4 days, work 2 days and then off another 5 so Im off 9 of the next 11 days. Not bad. I agree with everyone here saying it just goes too darn fast. But the last few days I've been able to relax a bit more and watch a bunch of Christmas shows. There's just so many I feel like I need to start around the 4th of July next year View attachment 17728. Good Morning, Good Morning, Eve before the Eve'ers.

And miracle of miracles, it is indeed the Eve of the Eve of Christmas!

Days to Christmas Day: 2

(The DAY AFTER TOMORROW, Guys!)


Wet, wet, wet yesterday, as we had near continuous rain most of the day.

More of the same is predicted for the next several days and, while we won't have a white Christmas, it is sure to come with at least some sort of moisture.

Right now, we have started off with a rather warm-for-December 63 degrees here in the capital city of North Carolina, where a light drizzle continues to fall.


OK, Folks!

The time is right. Carl is ready. The 'Pines is ready.

Now, how about you?

The granddaddy of all open houses is this evening at our own Shispering Pines, with Carl in charge.

Christmas decorations abound. Seasonal music playing from the speakers. A sumptuous Christmas dinner with all the fixings. Red and green frosted fired twinkies. Games, prizes and lots of merriment.

(Plus a brand new coffee blend Carl says he's been working all year on.)

I truly hope to see each and every one of you there with (Christmas) bells on!

But for now, you try to have the most Wonderful Wednesday of your lives,OK?

Can't believe we are at this point in the countdown! I'll be at the pines with bells on!!! Woo Hoo! Thanks Crown!

I'm just having my coffee and watching the news. I can't believe it's going to be almost 70 degrees tomorrow, it's crazy! Not too much going on here today. I'm going to take a ride to my parents house for a quick visit. I need to borrow a few of their folding chairs, I have almost twenty people coming here on Christmas Day. Other than that I'll be doing some some cleaning and making sure the house is in order.
